Britain finished Day 16 (and the 2012 Games) with a total of 65 medals, compared with 47 at Beijing in 2008, and finished third in the final medal table.
ATHLETICS
Lee Merrien finishes 30th in the men's marathon in a time of two hours 17 minutes. Scott Overall is 61st in 2:22:37.
BOXING
Anthony Joshua wins the gold medal in the men's super-heavyweight (+91kg) division.
Level on 18-18 points with Italy's Roberto Cammarelle at the end of three rounds, he is awarded the win on countback.
Fred Evans wins a silver medal after losing 17-9 to Serik Sapiyev of Kazakhstan in the men's welterweight (69kg) final.
CYCLING
Liam Killeen crashes out of the men's cross-country mountain bike event on the second of seven laps.
MODERN PENTATHLON
Samantha Murray wins SILVER after the five events, coming in second place to Lithuania's Laura Asadauskaite.
Team-mate Mhairi Spence finishes in 21st place.
