Olympics cycling: Laura Trott leads women's omnium

Double world and European champion Laura Trott is joint leader on 12 points on day one in the women's omnium race after winning two of the three disciplines at the velodrome.

Trott, who won gold in the team pursuit, won the flying lap 250m time trial with a time of 14.057 seconds and put on a stunning display to win the elimination race, beating American Sarah Hammer.

The event continues with the 3km individual pursuit, 10km scratch race and 500m time trial on Tuesday.
