Armoy girl Hannah Craig has qualified for the semi-finals of the K1 Kayak Canoe Slalom event at the Olympics.
Craig lay in 13th place after her first run of the heats by recording a time of 117.07 seconds, including penalties amounting to eight seconds.
The 27-year-old Irish competitor had just two penalties in her second run as she improved her time to 108.99, and ended 14th of the 15 qualifiers.
The semi-finals and final will take place on Thursday afternoon.
"I'm really proud of how I paddled and the final result was a plus," said Craig, who is competing in her first Olympics.
"I knew I needed a good solid run in the second run and on this course there are no guarantees."
