Brazil put five past Cameroon to open their Group E campaign with an emphatic victory in the women's Olympic football competition.

The losing finalists of 2004 and 2008 were 2-0 ahead after 10 minutes, with Brazil's captain Marta scoring two second-half goals.

The victory sees Brazil top Group E on goal difference.
