Olympics Archery: Amy Oliver out in last 32 despite shock win

Amy Oliver claimed her biggest career win against world number one Deepika Kumari but bowed out in the last 32 of the women's individual archery.

The last British female in the event beat the Indian archer 6-2 in the first round before going down 7-1 to Indonesia's Ika Yuliana Rochmawati.

In the men's competition, Alan Wills lost to Australia's Taylor Worth 6-5.

Simon Terry beat Japan's Yu Ishizu 7-1 before losing to Romania's Dan Olaru by the same score in the last 32.

Olaru will join Britain's Larry Godfrey, who won through on Monday, in the last 16 on Friday along with Wills's conqueror Worth, France's Gael Prevost, South Korea's Jin Hyek Oh, China's Xiaoxiang Dai and Ukraine's Viktor Ruban.

In the women's competition, Russian Ksenia Perova, Denmark's Carina Christiansen, South Korea's Hyeonju Choi, China's Ming Cheng and South Korea's Ki Bo Bae joined Rochmawati in Thursday's last 16.
