London 2012: Naomi Folkard secures European silver
Team GB archer Naomi Folkard secured silver at the European Championship in Amsterdam on Saturday.
Folkard, part of a six-strong home squad for the 2012 Olympics, qualified for the gold medal match with a superb run of form.
But she lost 6-0 to Russia's Ksenia Perova, who has now come out on top in their last six encounters.
"She has been a bit of a curse, but it comes to those who wait, and I'm sure my time will come," said Folkard.
"Winning a medal of any colour at the Europeans is a great boost to the confidence. It's great for the Olympic preparations and I've been really pleased with the way things have gone this week."
