Born : 30/03/83

Career highlights

Goddard won two Commonwealth gold medals in 2010, smashing the championship record in reclaiming the 200m backstroke title he won eight years earlier.

A shoulder injury forced him to give up the backstroke in 2011. He still has hopes of a first Olympic medal in the 200m individual medley, having reached the final in that event four years ago.

He did, however, earn a bronze medal in the 200m individual medley at the World Short Course Championships in 2008.
