Brian McCormack dominates Masters round at Mondello Park

Brian McCormack dominated the second round of the Adelaide Masters series, securing a treble of wins in the two Superbike races and the Grand Final.

McCormack was forced to settle for second behind David Haire in Saturday's Superbike race but beat the Lisburn man by two seconds in Sunday's opener.

The Waterford rider came in less than a second ahead of Gerard Kinghan in race two and beat Cody Nally in race three.

Carl Phillips from Belfast won both Supersport races on Sunday.

Phillips took the flag ahead of Saturday's race winner Haire in race one, with Robert English third.

Connor Parkhill was runner-up behind Phillips in race two, with Haire completing the podium positions.

Honda-mounted Haire had triumphed over Phillips and English on Saturday.

Nally, who had won all three races in the opening round of the series, was third in Sunday's second Superbike race, with Mark Glasgow occupying the final rostrum place in race three.

The next round of the championship will be staged at Bishopscourt, County Down, on Saturday 9 August.
