Derry boss Brian McIver laments penalty decisions in qualifier

Derry boss Brian McIver believes his side were denied "two blatant penalties" in the first half of their All-Ireland qualifier defeat by Cavan.

The Oak Leafers lost out to their Ulster rivals after extra-time in the third round tie at Celtic Park.

"We were disappointing in the first half, but we picked up in the second," said McIver.

"Fair play to Cavan - they played very well, got their noses in front and kept the ball - we found it hard to penetrate them then and when they scored their goal the game was over."
