Manx Grand Prix: Opening practice session on Saturday
The Manx Grand Prix opening practice session will get under way on Saturday with roads closing at 17:00 BST.
The session will start with a speed-controlled lap for newcomers at 17:20 BST followed by Senior, Junior and the Supertwin machines.
All classes including lightweight machines and newcomers will race for the grid for the extended session.
All other practice sessions during the week will see roads closing at 18:00 BST and opening at 21:00 BST.
The event's opening race for newcomers will be held on Saturday, 25 August.
Meanwhile, The Isle of Man TT Marshals Association is still appealing for helpers ahead of the first MGP fortnight.
More than 500 marshals are required for each practice and race session before the Clerk of the Course will give it the go ahead.
IOMTTMA chairman Terry Holmes said: "Marshals are absolutely vital without them there is no racing."
You must be 16 or over and, if you are under 18, you will need the consent of a parent or guardian.
