MotoGP: Valentino Rossi fastest in Aragon practice
Valentino Rossi topped the timesheet in Saturday's third practice for the Aragon Grand Prix.
In a session that saw restricted action on a damp track because of overnight rain, Rossi clocked one minute 50.464 seconds late on as the circuit dried.
Alvaro Bautista, Nicky Hayden, Aleix Espargaro and Bradley Smith rounded out the top five quickest times.
Qualifying in MotoGP
- The combined times from the three sessions of free practice determine participation in the final qualifying practice
- The 10 fastest riders are seeded through to the final qualifying stage.
However, times from Friday's second practice still dictate the top 10 final qualifying participants.
The combined times from the three practice sessions determine participation in Q2. The fourth session of practice does not count towards qualifying.
Marc Marquez, Stefan Bradl, Dani Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo and Bautista remain in the combined top five.
Marquez, Bradl, Pedrosa and Lorenzo stayed in their boxes throughout FP3.
Cal Crutchlow did likewise, having already done enough on Friday to ensure his place in Q2.
He is joined automatically by Rossi, Dovizioso, Espargaro and Hayden.
