Ice Hockey World Championship: GB beaten by Kazakhstan 5-0

Great Britain went down to a heavy 5-0 loss to Kazakhstan in their World Championship Division 1 Group A campaign in Hungary.

Two goals inside 19 seconds from Konstantin Romanov (17.42) and Ilya Solarev (18.01) were added to by Roman Savchenko, Vadim Krasnoslobodtsev and Yevgeni Blokhin.

It was Britain's second defeat having lost 4-2 to Hungary on Sunday.

Forward David Longstaff said: "We did not deserve to lose in the way we did."

Britain next take on Italy on Wednesday before facing Japan on Friday and Korea on Saturday.
