AP McCoy reacts to 4000th career victory.

AP McCoy says he is not planning to retire from racing in the near future , despite claiming his 4,000 career victory at Towcester on Thursday.

The 39-year-old became the first jump jockey to reach the milestone with victory on Mountain Tunes, trained by Jonjo O'Neill and owned by JP McManus.

McCoy admits he has been fortunate to fulfil his childhood dreams but will review his future properly at the end of this season.

But McCoy's wife, Chanelle, has joked that she will cut up McCoy's racing licence if the Northern Irishman does not retire soon.

AP McCoy was talking to BBC racing correspondent Cornelius Lysaght.
