Nacarat held off the challenge of Hector's Choice to win the Racing Plus Chase at Kempton Park for a second time.
Jockey Paddy Brennan rode a patient race to take the three-mile handicap chase by 11 lengths.
Planet Of Sound finished in third place, while pre-race 7-2 favourite Michel Le Bon pulled up early.
"He's a wonderful horse - it's all about him today," Brennan said of the Tom George-trained grey.
The 2009 winner
tracked Fiendish Flame as the 16-1 outsider burst into an early lead.
Nacarat and Hector's Choice then left the rest of the pack behind as Fiendish Flame slowed at the start of the second circuit.
Hector's Choice stumbled over the third to last fence, after temporarily taking the lead, to allow the 9-2 joint-second favourite to claim the £56,950 winner's prize.
Brennan added: "He loves Kempton and has had his day in the sun. You need to have speed and you need to stay at Kempton, and he has it all.
"Tom [George] had him spot-on and he was fitter than he'd ever been in his life."
Owner Simon Clarke enthused: "I'm a very lucky owner. He's given me some of the best days of my life.
"He loves it here - he jumps and he breaks other horses' hearts."
Nacarat's victory was the second part of a double for George and Brennan whose earlier winner, Baby Mix, staked his Cheltenham Festival claims with success in the Adonis Hurdle.
