Great Britain's women were beaten 3-2 by South Korea in the final of the Four Nations in Cordoba, Argentina.
Crista Cullen put GB ahead from a penalty corner but the Koreans hit back with two goals before half-time and one after to go 3-1 up.
Ashleigh Ball scrambled a second for Britain just after the hour mark to set up a tense finale but Korea held on.
"This was a strong team performance," said coach Danny Kerry at the end of the Champions Trophy warm-up event.
"I feel for the girls because they played so well and gave everything.

As part of their preparations for the Champions Trophy, GB beat South Korea 3-1, world champions Argentina 2-0 and New Zealand 2-0 to reach the final of the Four Nations tournament.
The Champions Trophy, which begins in Rosario, Argentina, on 28 January, is the last ranking event before the Olympics and therefore significant for several of the eight nations involved.
Great Britain, who qualify automatically for the Games as hosts, have taken a squad of 22 players to Argentina.
