Millennium Stadium

Replacing Cardiff Arms Park, the spiritual home for any Welsh rugby fan, was always going to be difficult. But in the Millennium Stadium the Welsh have a venue they can be proud of.

A game has already been played with its retractable roof closed, protecting the surface against the unpredictable nature of the Cardiff weather.

The stadium hosted the 1999 Rugby World Cup final and is every bit as intimidating as the old Arms Park.

It has already staged Welsh football internationals and will also stage the FA Cup final for the first time in 2001.

Six Nations results:

18 Mar 2000 Wales 26-18 Scotland
19 Feb 2000 Wales 47-16 Italy
5 Feb 2000 Wales 3-36 France
