Donal Lenihan Donal Lenihan

Position: Team manager
Age: 42

- 52 caps for Ireland
- Triple Lions tourist (1983,
'86 & '89)
- Appointed Irish team manager in 1998

Donal Lenihan's build-up to the tour has not been without controversy. His decision to plump for Kiwi Graham Henry as coach over Clive Woodward continues to cause reverberations and will surely re-surface if the Lions fail to perform.

His preparations have been diligent, however. After being appointed he immediately travelled to Australia and achieved a favourable itinerary by securing the shortest Tour in history.
