Bobby George's Guide to the Seeds
   1st Seed John Walton
John Walton
(England)
On paper and on the oche, John 'Boy' was the best player by miles last year.

He won so many opens and tournaments going into the Embassy I think he was about 30 or 40 points in front of anyone.

He was playing the best darts, but this is a new year and he's got a dodgy game against Andy Fordham in the first round... a really tough draw.

Andy hasn't picked up enough points to be one of the seeds, but he should be.

John should beat him but that's anyone's game. He's played quite well over the past 12 months, so let's see if he can press the right buttons again.

1. John Walton
2. Martin Adams
3. Marko Pusa
4. Mervyn King
5. Raymond van Barneveld
6. Bob Taylor
7. Ted Hankey
8. Wayne Mardle
