Peter Alliss' Course Guide

« Back Next »
The eighth is a huge par five up the hill with a little dogleg right to left at the end.

This is another hole that has been tweaked a lot over the years - ridges put in and taken out, bunkers filled in and enlarged and this year another 20 yards have been added to its length.

Again it is possible, with a bit of good fortune and the wind in the right direction, to reach this hole in two. A good drive away, a good second shot, 40 yards short of the green in the right spot, chip up and two putts.

It's a simple five, but it's not so easy to get a four.
