Peter Alliss' Course Guide

« Back Next »
This has no bunkers. It's a little bit of a dogleg right to left and is a good driving hole, but it's the green that's the killer here. It's wide and deep with all sorts of humps and hollows.

It's a classic example of where you can play a poor second shot, 25 yards wide of the hole, but then you get the right sort of bounce and suddenly it comes back off this slope, back off that slope and you end up two or three feet from the hole, much to the chagrin of your playing companion.
