Four years ago, Morocco were going places.
At France '98, with Mustapha Hadji at the height of his powers, the Atlas Lions played some of the silkiest football.
But now that looks like a false dawn. At the last Nations Cup they showed none of that sparkle, being knocked out in the first round, and were the most disappointing side there.
Missing out on Japan and Korea on goal difference was another knock to their confidence.
Now, with players like Hadji out of the side, they are struggling to find their former flair.
Coach Humberto Coelho needs to sort that out, and find a solution to their scoring problems.
His toughest job, though, will be restoring self-belief.
