World Gymnastics 2011: Whelan targets top eight in 2012

Britain's Hannah Whelan says she will work as hard as she can to build on her ninth-place finish in the all-around event at the World Gymnastics Championships.

The GB teenager says she was pleased with her "clean" routines and hopes to improve her asymmetric bars skills to achieve an even better performance at London 2012.

American Jordyn Wieber controversially pipped Russian rival Victoria Komova to gold in Tokyo.
