Brandt Snedeker says the "American" conditions at Royal Lytham have helped him take the lead at the Open, but he would relish the challenge of a windy weekend.
Snedeker equalled the Lytham Open course record of 64 on day two and matched Nick Faldo's 130 over two rounds.
The American 31-year-old has previously come third in the 2008 US Masters, but has suffered a rib injury and had hip surgery in the past year.
