England's James Morrison heads qualifying for the Open

BBC sport's Tim Hague reports as England's James Morrison leads the way at European qualifying for the Open at Sunningdale, while big names Jose Maria Olazabal and Colin Montgomerie missed out.

Morrison overcame a lack of sleep to finish top of the leaderboard on eight under and he will be joined by, among others, Sam Walker, Ross Fisher and Southport's Lee Slattery - who came through a five-way play-off to fill the last of the 10 available European Final Qualifying slots.
