Williams see in the Finn an exceptional talent - and that ability must be very clear for them, as they have taken a significant financial hit in dropping Bruno Senna.

Bottas' performances in Friday practice through 2012 certainly suggested he has great promise - he was usually pretty close to Maldonado.

The pressure is on though, for Williams need points. But he seems level-headed and down to earth.

His progress will be watched with interest.
