Sebastian Vettel closes the gap to world championship leader Fernando Alonso to just four points with a dominant victory in the Japanese Grand Prix.

The reigning world champion brought his Red Bull home 20 seconds clear of Ferrari's Felipe Massa who took his first podium for nearly two years, with Sauber's Kamui Kobayashi achieving his best-ever result with third place at Suzuka.

Alonso retired following a first-corner collision with Kimi Raikkonen, as Vettel becomes the first driver to take back-to-back victories in 2012.
