Chinese Grand Prix qualifying - top three drivers

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg describes his first ever pole position as a "very special feeling" after grabbing top spot in the Chinese Grand Prix qualifying session.

The German was half a second faster than McLaren's Lewis Hamilton, who will start seventh following a grid penalty.

Rosberg's team-mate Michael Schumacher qualified third fastest, but was later promoted to second after Hamilton's penalty, with Sauber's Kamui Kobayashi set to start third on the grid.
