Exeter City: Tisdale refuses to say if Danny Coles will remain captain

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale has refused to say whether Danny Coles will remain as captain.

The 32-year-old former Bristol Rovers defender is the subject of disciplinary action after using abusive language towards a supporter on social media.

Coles released a statement apologising for his actions.

"The club is still within an internal procedure to evaluate all the things that have happened and been said," Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon.

"It's being done in a professional and proper way.

"It's disappointing that it's happened, but I think it's best that the club does it's business properly and the disciplinary process will be carried out in the next week or two."

Meanwhile, Arron Davies and James Hamon have signed new deals at St James Park.

The pair were the last of the club's out-of-contract players to agree new terms.

Winger Davies, who has made one appearance for Wales, has been with City since the summer of 2012 and has made 72 appearances for the club, scoring five goals.

Guernsey-born goalkeeper Hamon has yet to make a first-team appearance, but was on the bench a number of times last season.
