How football helped England's Fara Williams when she was homeless

Women's FA Cup final: Arsenal Ladies v Everton Ladies

  • Venue: Stadium MK
  • Date: Sunday, 1 June
  • Kick-off: 16:30 BST

Coverage: Live text commentary on BBC Sport website, watch on BBC Two and listen on BBC Radio 5 live

England and Liverpool Ladies midfielder Fara Williams explains how focusing on football helped her get her life back on track while she was homeless for six years.

The now 30-year-old balanced living rough and in hostels with impressing on the football pitch, while her team-mates were none the wiser.

Williams's experiences led her to work with the Homeless FA, where she coaches homeless girls and women every week.
