Two Jamie White goals helped Salisbury City overcome back-to-back defeats and cruise to a convincing victory over Welling United.

The home side took the lead through Chris McPhee as he tucked his shot past Welling goalkeeper Jamie Turner.

Salisbury doubled their lead through White who notched his second minutes later with a shot across goal.

Josh Wakefield came close to a consolation for the visitors but he rifled his shot over the crossbar

Salisbury City manager Mikey Harris told BBC Wiltshire:

Post-match: Salisbury manager Harris

"It's great to end the home campaign with a win, that was always our goal.

"It was a frantic 10 minutes where we showed some really good attacking play.

"The difficulty is kicking on when you are 3-0 up.

"We could have increased our lead in the second-half but we'll take a 3-0 victory."
