Arbroath kept their slim survival hopes alive with victory against Stranraer in Scottish League One.

Paul McManus rifled in the opener for the hosts in first-half stoppage-time before Alan Cook stroked home the second just after the restart.

Cook's sweeping shot put Arbroath further in front but Sean Winter's effort gave Stranraer hope.

Player-manager Paul Sheerin's curling shot put the win beyond doubt before Adam Forde's consolation strike.

Bottom side Arbroath are four points adrift with three games left.
