Wilfried Bony: Swansea stars expect more goals from striker

Team-mates of Swansea City top scorer Wilfried Bony have warned Saturday's opponents Norwich there are more goals to come from the Ivorian.

Bony headed home his 20th goal of the season in the 2-2 draw at Arsenal on Tuesday.

Norwich in 13th are two points above the Swans and full-back Neil Taylor says the Canaries will have a job to stop Bony.

"He's a goal scorer and he'll get more," said Taylor.

Taylor provided the cross that Bony headed home to give Swansea the lead at the Emirates.

The result moved Garry Monk's side five points clear of the relegation zone.

Welsh international Taylor says Bony adds an extra dimension to Swansea's play as they look to secure Premier League survival.

"He's a big player for us," said Taylor.

Heads up on Bony

Bony scores against Manchester United
  • Bony has scored 20 goals in all competitions this season, 11 of which in the Premiership.
  • Six of the 20 goals he has scored with his head.
  • Among the sides to fall victim to Bony's headed goals this season are: Cardiff; Arsenal and Manchester United.

"He's an outlet and he's something different that we haven't had.

"It's becoming apparent that we can cross the ball into the box now as a team.

"You can put it into any area and he [Bony] just goes and wins it.

"Wilf's great in the air and he's constantly telling us in training all the time to cross the ball more because that's where he feels he's best. So that's what we aim to do."

Swansea midfielder Jonathan de Guzman says Bony will be crucial in helping the Swans get an important victory against Norwich.

"It's a huge game," said De Guzman.

"We are very happy with the result at Arsenal but I think games against teams like Norwich are the most important for us.

"Norwich are close to us in the league and we are playing them at home so we are going for three points definitely.

"Bony is very strong up front and he helps us a lot holding up the ball.

"He's very lethal especially in front of goal.

"He's a great asset for us."
