World Cup 2014: 100 great World Cup moments - 46 days to go

BBC Sport counts down 100 of the greatest World Cup moments, as the 2014 tournament in Brazil draws nearer.

Today we look back on one of the most infamous incidents in World Cup history, when Argentina's Diego Maradona used his hand to score when jumping for the ball with England goalkeeper Peter Shilton in the 1986 quarter-finals in Mexico City.

The officials did not spot the offence and the goal was given, with Maradona later telling reporters he was helped by the 'Hand of God'.
