Jackie McNamara has belief in Dundee United
Dundee United boss Jackie McNamara says his side have proved they have strength in depth after their 2-1 win over Hearts at Tynecastle .
Goals from Brian Graham and Nadir Ciftci gave the visitors all three points as they moved to within four points of second spot.
It was their seventh win in eight games, despite missing a number of key players in recent weeks.
He told BBC Radio Scotland: "I've got great belief in every one of them."
Both Ciftci and Andrew Robertson are suspended for next Saturday's crucial trip to fellow Europa League chasers Aberdeen, but McNamara is confident his men are good enough without them to keep up the pressure on the Dons and Motherwell.
"We could have scored more goals tonight and made it more easier for the finish, instead of hanging on for the last few minutes," he said. "I think that's the only criticism of our performance that we didn't take more of our chances.
"For me the belief has always been there. Especially Brian [Graham] coming in, he's been very patient. He's had to wait for an opportunity, and I am delighted for him getting a goal tonight.
"Nadir and young Robertson are suspended next week so it's important we keep everyone fit and fresh.
"I've got great belief in the players. If we keep doing the same things, keep playing the same way and making chances, there's no reason why we can't have a successful season."
Graham put United in the driving seat midway through the first-half when he finished a sweeping move involving Ryan Dow and Robertson.
Then Ciftci added a second with a fine solo effort, skipping past three players before curling the ball into the net.
"I thought it was a fantastic build up," said McNamara of the opener. "Some reverse passing to Andrew Robertson and a great ball across, and Brian's in the right place to finish it.
"Nadir's more of a solo goal. He had a few other opportunities, he can be a wee bit frustrating at times, but you can see when he's on song he's some talent.
"He has got all the attributes. You can see the little deficiencies in his game at times, maybe some slackness. That's why he's here with me, I've got to get the best out of him, and keep improving him."
