Cliftonville face Dungannon without suspended strike duo

Diarmuid O'Carroll is set to be offered a chance to shine for league leaders Cliftonville in Saturday's Irish Premiership game at Stangmore Park.

Regular front pair Liam Boyce and Joe Gormley are both suspended for the clash with Dungannon Swifts, along with defender Marc Smyth.

Ronan Scannell and Jaimie McGovern return from suspension, while Stephen Garrett is also available.

The Reds lead by one point from Linfield, who have a game in hand.

Dungannon have failed to win any of their last 18 meetings with the north Belfast side and have lost eight times at home this season.

Swifts manager Darren Murphy must plan without young striker Jamie Douglas, who is ruled out for at least six weeks and may miss the remainder of the season.

The 21-year-old has not played for the last three months because of a hamstring injury and it has now emerged that the injury is worse than first feared.

He sustained the injury during his side's 3-1 win at Glenavon on 29 November, but the extent of the injury has only come to light in recent scans, which revealed a torn tendon.

On a more positive note, Jamie Tomelty could return to action, but Fra Brennan is doubtful, while Marc Brolly and Sean McCashin are struggling with flu.

Michael McKerr, Cameron Grieve, Dermot McCaffrey and Andrew Burns join Douglas on the absent list.

Coleraine are boosted by the return of striker Gary Browne and midfielder Michael Hegarty as they aim to continue a run of form which sees them unbeaten since New Year's Day.

They entertain a Portadown side, who are without Peter McMahon following his dismissal in the mid-Ulster derby against Glenavon last week.

Ballymena United are without suspended midfielder Gary Thompson for their home game against Warrenpoint Town as they aim to secure a top-six place.

Town will hope to bounce back from their midweek Irish Cup defeat by Bangor but boss Barry Gray will not have the services of Liam Bagnall and Stephen Moan.
