Garry Monk: Swansea City boss praises Chico Flores
Garry Monk praised goalscorer Chico Flores after Swansea came back to claim a valuable Premier League point at Stoke City.
Swansea are four points clear of the relegation zone following the 1-1 draw, which maintained their unbeaten start under new head coach Monk.
Defender Flores equalised early in the second half after Peter Crouch had given the home side a first-half lead.
"Chico Flores, I thought, was an absolute warrior out there," Monk said.
"I thought he was a rock. He was solid, he passed the ball and I thought he was everything.

“The way he played showed what a great player he is. He was the best player on the pitch”
"When you see someone like that, it gives the team a lift. The goal was a bonus on top and it was a great header.
"He'd been getting a bit of stick from the crowd from the very first whistle.
"The way he played showed what a great player he is. He was the best player on the pitch."
Before succeeding Michael Laudrup, Monk had been involved in a training ground bust-up with Flores in January.
Police were called to the training ground and the club released a statement days later denying there was a rift.
Monk had insisted he had "no problems" with the Spaniard after he was put in charge following Laudrup's sacking.
Flores headed in Pablo Hernandez's cross to cancel out Crouch's first-half goal at a windy Britannia Stadium.
The game was in doubt ahead of kick-off because of storm-force winds and the start was delayed by 15 minutes.
Swansea had lost their two previous Premier League games at the Britannia Stadium and Monk was pleased with the character of his team in the difficult conditions.
"We knew what sort of game we were going to be in for… and the conditions as well," Monk added.
"When you take it all into account a point is a very good result. We could have won that game. Second half, I thought we were magnificent and really took it to them.
"I thought we had a few good chances to win the game. Everyone gave a massive effort and I couldn't be happier for them.
"The whole squad are together now and ready to push on."
