Barnsley have signed Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong for an undisclosed fee and free agent Martin Woods on deals until the end of the season.
Ghana international Frimpong, 22, who has not featured for the Gunners this season, had loan spells with Charlton and Fulham last term.
Woods, 28, was a free agent after his deal with Doncaster came to an end.
The midfield pair could make their debut for the Tykes against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Liverpool full-back Ryan McLaughlin has extended his loan at Oakwell until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old, who is currently out with a hamstring injury, has made one appearance so far for Danny Wilson's side.
