Adam McGurk rescued a point for Burton as they drew with mid-table Exeter at the Pirelli Stadium.
The former Tranmere winger converted Zeli Ismail's cross to level shortly after the visitors had gone in front with an own goal from Ian Sharps.
Home goalkeeper Dean Lyness parried John O'Flynn's shot against the unfortunate Sharps and into the net.
Exeter's Scot Bennett missed the best chance of a winner for either side, firing over the bar from six yards.

Burton manager Gary Rowett told BBC Radio Derby:
"If you'd told me we were going to draw before the game, I would have been disappointed because it was a big game for us today.
"If we'd won it, it would have given us a big impetus for the next two, but after seeing how the game went and how we played and what the conditions were like, I would have to say it was probably a point gained.
"It might be an important point at the end of the season. We didn't play anywhere near well enough."
