Forest Green Rovers thumped Hyde for the second time this season with Eddie Oshodi and James Norwood both scoring twice.
Oshodi headed in Anthony Barry's corner before Norwood and Marcus Kelly made it 3-0 inside the first 15 minutes.
Adam Blakeman curled in a free-kick to cut the deficit only for Reece Styche to extend the visitors' lead again.
Danny Carlton pulled another goal back but Oshodi and Norwood both scored again to round off the win.
The fixture was a reverse of the season opener between the two sides where
Forest Green ran out 8-0 winners.
That game set the precedent for Hyde's season, though the bottom side did record their first win of the campaign with
Tuesday's 2-0 victory at Welling.
VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Forest Green Rovers manager Adrian Pennock told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:
"I'm very pleased, obviously to come away and win 6-2 is a great result.
"We knew it was going to be a difficult game but we were clinical in front of goal today which was nice, and maybe I'm being a little bit picky because we could've scored more.
"The boys have been first class in training leading up to this game.
"We want to get another good week under our belt and really look forward to Chester because that's another tough game."
