Newcastle boss Alan Pardew laments Black Monday for managers

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew describes the recent high-profile manager sackings as "Black Monday".

A run of five straight Premier League defeats saw Fulham sack manager Martin Jol on Sunday following a 3-0 defeat to West Ham on Saturday.

Owen Coyle became the third Championship manager to lose his job within 24 hours following Wigan's 3-1 home defeat by Derby County. Dave Jones was shown the door by Sheffield Wednesday earlier on Monday while Barnsley dismissed their manager, David Flitcroft, on Saturday.
