  1. 1856:

That's that for one day, indeed for one weekend.

Hope you enjoyed the action this week, join us on Friday night for England's big day out against Montenegro. See you there.

  2. 1852:
    GET INVOLVED- #bbcfootball

Fahim Choudry: UTD only 6 points off the top despite having a bad start. 31 games left, you would be a fool to write them off the title race!

Richard Hill: Arsenal and Liverpool fans talking about winning the league... OK, can us Saints fans join in too!?

  3. 1851:
PLAYER REACTION- West Brom 1-1 Arsenal
    Jack Wilshere

Arsenal midfielder and goal scorer Jack Wilshere: Love the new song for me today! Haha fans were incredible again! Good point nice to get a goal hopefully a few more to come!

  4. 1847:
    GET INVOLVED- #bbcfootball

Shohidur Rahman: Spurs have the squad to challenge for the title but not the manager. Dawson ahead of Kaboul? Sigurdsson left wing?

Andrew Priestley: In any other PL season the champions normally only lose 5/6 times. This season's Champions might lose 7/8 times. Competitive.

  5. 1847:

After Big Sam's 'no strikers' policy today, brace yourselves for a raft of tactical tinkering in the Premier League. Maybe we'll see Chris Hughton play a fly keeper, Alan Pardew playing a sweeper and Mark Hughes lining up with a flat back six? Who knows what's next...

  6. 1843:
    GET INVOLVED- #bbcfootball
    West Ham's Ravel Morrison

Fraser West: Coincidence that Ravel's lifestyle changed whilst he was under Lee Clark at Birmingham?

Luke: Man of the match has to Morrison, great potential! And Big Sam, he mixed things up today, it paid off big time.

  7. 1841:
    GET INVOLVED- #bbcsport

Niall Pickering: I still think United are going make a massive comeback this season and win the league.

Josh Pain: Southampton with the best defensive record in the Premier League so far. Credit to Pochettino.

Tor Noppharat: With results as unpredictable as these, who needs a league containing Real Madrid or Barcelona?

  8. 1839:
    GET INVOLVED- Text 81111

Luke in Lincoln on text: I love football with all my heart. But I don't like football fans, so fickle, Arsenal have gone from doom to title contenders in a month, Spurs have gone from title contenders to doom in one game. Don't even get me started on Janujaz!

  9. 1838:
PLAYER REACTION- West Brom 1-1 Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil: One more unbeaten game, two weeks more leader - wonderful time in London.

  10. 1838:
PLAYER REACTION- Tottenham 0-3 West Ham

West Ham skipper Kevin Nolan: "Ravel Morrison has been fantastic. Last year we had a lot of problems with him his lifestyle off the pitch but he went to Birmingham [on loan] and worked hard and came back and got back in the team.

"Me and Mark Noble speak to him and have had big long chats with him and we like to protect him and take him under our wing. We are excited by his talent, and I think you are now starting to see the player that Manchester United saw when he was younger."

  11. 1832:
    Southampton 2-0 Swansea

Infostrada Sports: Southampton have conceded the fewest goals this #PL season: 2 after 7 matches. At this stage last season, they had conceded 20.

  12. 1831:
PLAYER REACTION- Wigan Athletic 2-1 Blackburn Rovers

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Tom Cairney after his side's 2-1 defeat at Wigan: Gutted..we gave everything into that game and to come away with nothing is a killer 70mins with 10men was tough but we showed good spirit.

  13. 1830:
MANAGER REACTION- West Brom 1-1 Arsenal
    Steve Clarke

    West Brom boss Steve Clarke:

"We've got a resilient team and had a similar situation last week where United equalised so we didn't rest on our laurels and tried to win the game which made it nerve wracking on the bench if I'm honest.

"I think if you watch the game from the start, both sides tried to play good football and we had to concentrate to nullify the opposition. You could see the tiredness at the end but that's part and parcel of this league."

  14. 1829:
    Tottenham 0-3 West Ham

West Ham fan and actor James Corden: What a game! What a performance! So thrilled to be there!

  15. 1828:
    Tottenham 0-3 West Ham

West Ham captain Kevin Nolan admits that they had trouble with Ravel Morrison last season because of his lifestyle but he "is a man now" and is a superb talent.

He also laughs when he is asked if Morrison will be moving in with him like Andy Carroll did at Newcastle once - saying 'I hope not!'

  16. 1827:
    GET INVOLVED- #bbcfootball

Martin Williams: Just read AVB's comments...those are the words of a man who knows he got it all wrong!!!!

Gavin Calver: As a neutral I'm loving the Premiership this year. What an unpredictable set of results today. Bring on the rest of the season.

Paul Agland: Sorry Spurs, there's no one to Bale you out this season.....l

  17. 1824:
    GET INVOLVED- Text 81111

Gabriel in London on text: Spurs do need some time to integrate their new players but losing 3-0 to a team with such an awful scoring record away is still inexcusable.

Rich, Aylesbury: It is too late to take that contract away from Michael Dawson? No wonder he was on a hurry to sign it!! Not doubting his love of Spurs but simply not good enough for a team with supposed title aspirations. And don't even get me started on Sigurdsson ..!!

  18. 1823:
    GET INVOLVED- #bbcfootball

Shohidur Rahman: Really surprised that AVB started with Defoe. Soldado hasn't scored goals recently but gives the team much more balance.

Akinpelu Kayode A: AVB is so so arrogant, even more than Jose. Will never admit defeat. Irritating!

  19. 1822:
UN RAVEL-ING SPURS- Tottenham 0-3 West Ham
    Ravel Morrison

Take a look at where Ravel Morrison touched the ball today. Talk about box-to-box. He was everywhere.

  20. 1820:
MANAGER REACTION- Tottenham 0-3 West Ham
    Sam Allardyce

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce on Ravel Morrison: "He's 20, but he's quite old in terms of years but he's learnt so much in a short period of time. That's the beauty. The penny has dropped.

"While [his former manager] Sir Alex Ferguson told me I hope you can sort him out because you will have a top class player on the your hands, I'm not sure I've done that but he's enjoying his football. He can do something no one else can do and we saw that today."

  21. 1817:
    GET INVOLVED- Text 81111

Alister on text: I thought United only lost because they were just that bad...boy was I wrong. Wait till others go to the Hawthorns...

Shakeel Khan: Good performance by Arsenal. These were the games where they would end up losing but showed good fighting spirit and could've won it. With Cazorla, Walcott, Chamberlain and Podolski still to come back, Arsenal going to have a strong starting 11 and after a long time a good bench. Arsenal for the title.

  22. 1816:
    Tottenham 0-3 West Ham

That was a very entertaining post-match interview from Big Sam. He obviously saw me refer to him as 'Allardici' at 1605 as he used that one again, and my other favourite line was:

"We pulled a massive game out of the hat."

  23. 1816:
    Tottenham 0-3 West Ham

Former Middlesbrough and Swindon striker Jan Aage Fjortoft: Don't care about his past- don't know about his future, but Ravel Morrison's goal today was BRILLIANT!

  24. 1814:
MANAGER REACTION- West Brom 1-1 Arsenal
    Arsene Wenger

    Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger:

"It was breathless. West Brom showed why they won at Manchester United last week and we had a hell of a task to come back but we showed character and we had chances to go on an win it.

"They are strong on the break, they are quick and go forward with some quick players. We tried desperately to score the second goal and we had the chances late on to do it.

"Our position is good because when you look at how we started and now we've come out of two away games well so it's a good position to start again after the break."

  25. 1814:
    GET INVOLVED- #bbcfootball

Jan Willis: After today I may have to revise my opinion of Big Sam. So proud of our boys.

Bradley: What a performance from the Hammers! superb result, without a recognised striker!!!

William Buckley: West Ham were brilliant today. If you found it boring you probably forgot to take the TV off standby.

  26. 1813:
    Tottenham 0-3 West Ham

Sam Allardyce also calls Ravel Morrison's goal today 'goal of the season'.

  27. 1812:
    GET INVOLVED- #bbcfootball

Peter Odewale: Tottenham winning the league has always been over ambitious. ..they were only made for a top four finish...even with Bale.

Adrian Torr: Waiting for the Spurs fans to moan about why they don't have Bale anymore.

UnSimpleSimon: Hammers scored 11 away goals last season. Zero 'til today. 3 goals against a team that only let in 2 goals in All competitions.

  28. 1811:
    Tottenham 0-3 West Ham

A big, nay huge, smile on Big Sam's face here as he faces the cameras.

"It's fantastic when a plan comes together," he says before lighting a cigar and trying to get BA Baracus onto a waiting plane...

  29. 1810:
MANAGER REACTION- Tottenham 0-3 West Ham
    Andre Villas-Boas

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas: "I think they scored in a moment when they were very, very strong - through set plays, they got first to the second ball.

"It can happen in games like this. We didn't have that quick reaction to get back into the game because they scored the second soon after.

"The game started 100 miles per hour for both teams, with both looking threatening. They had good spells and so did we. The second had we were not first to the ball in the 50-50 duels. They were a bit more aggressive and punished us.

"We have conceded three goals today but before we were the team who conceded the least chances. This time West Ham managed to surprise us and we have to bounce back. This would be a good goal for us.

"It is [a wakeup call]. This fixture was a bit dangerous. If we won everything would be spectacular but if you draw or lose you drop into a position you don't want to be. Either way we have done well so far."

  30. 1810:
    THE TABLE
    Premier League Table

Here's the table after today's results then. Arsenal are back on top with Southampton and Chelsea moving into the top four. It's tighter than Kevin Pressman's watchstrap up there though.

At the foot of the table, Norwich end the day in the bottom three, while West Ham shoot all the way up to 13th.

    Premier League Table
  31. 1807:
Kevin Kilbane, From the Hawthorns on BBC Radio 5 LiveSouthampton 2-0 Swansea

"The league has been good to watch. Seeing Southampton up where they are, playing some good stuff and producing their own players, shows the quality of the league."

  32. 1805:

Who scored the winner the last time West Ham won at White Hart Lane?

Step forwards Marc Keller. Remember him?

  33.
    Tottenham 0-3 West Ham

Infostrada Sports: West Ham end a run of 11 winless PL matches at White Hart Lane stretching back to 1999. It is their biggest PL win at Spurs since 1994: 4-1.

  34. 1804:
Gary Lineker, BBC SportTottenham 0-3 West Ham
Ricardo Vaz Te and Ravel Morrison

"Superb result for West Ham, and by all accounts a sensational goal from Ravel Morrison. Great to see him realising his enormous potential."

  35. 1803:

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas looks bemused. He doesn't suit it.

He says that West Ham caught them in a good moment and the second goal was crucial.

  36. 1802:
    GET INVOLVED- #bbcfootball

Iain Lumsden: Defoe is great against lower cup teams not starting Prem games. Soldado should have started.

Andrew Priestley: Spurs are missing someone that's able to take the game to the opposition. They had someone like that last year. Where'd he go?

Greg Matthews: Dropped points from Spurs and Arsenal today. This is looking like being an interesting season ahead.

  37. 1802:
    CARLTON!- Tottenham 0-3 West Ham
    Carlton Cole

West Ham score three goals in an away Premier League match for the first time since a 3-3 draw at West Brom in February 2011, and win an away match by a three-goal margin for the first time since beating Portsmouth 4-1 at Fratton Park in December 2008.

Carlton Cole scored on that day - and he may yet be the answer to their striking problems this season..

    Ravel Morrision

Jay in London on text: Ravel-utionary scenes at White Hart Lane.

Matt: No urgency from Spurs, Walker not fit, Naughton not good enough... Defoe needed a start but this was a game made for Soldado... Even Townsend has looked poor no first touch runs into trouble.

David Eder: To all Spurs fans - have some perspective. 4 defeats in our last 29 league games certainly isn't a call for panic.

  39. 1756:
Kevin Kilbane, From the Hawthorns on BBC Radio 5 LiveWest Brom 1-1 Arsenal

"Wonderful game. Both teams attacking, both were going for the win. 1-1 is probably a fair result but both teams can be very, very happy with their performances."

  40. 1754:
    FULL-TIME- Tottenham 0-3 West Ham
    Tottenham v West Ham

Children are crying at White Hart Lane. Come on lads, it's October and you're three points off the top. Don't let Big Sam hear me say it, but that was a masterclass from West Ham. No strikers, not much possession, but plenty of goal threat and a massive win.

  41. 1753:
    GET INVOLVED- #bbcfootball

Jake Lennard: Throughout all the talk of Arsenal winning the title we have to remember Tottenham were considered contenders after today?

Ben Garrett: West Ham are the most boring, lucky, dire and undeserving side in the league.

Joe Giles: To be fair, Vaz Te has been asking to play as striker and he does keep on scoring.

  42. 1753:
Kevin Kilbane, From the Hawthorns on BBC Radio 5 LiveWest Brom 1-1 Arsenal

"I think both teams have played well. Arsene Wenger will see positives but Steve Clarke will be delighted with how his side attacked Arsenal."

  43. 1753:
    FULL-TIME- West Brom 1-1 Arsenal
  44. 1753:

Josh on text: In my 15 years as a Tottenham fan, this is undoubtedly the worst performance I have seen.

Tom, Spurs fan, Oxon: Same old Tottenham - don't seem able to make the Lane a fortress and take 'easier' teams apart. Will never win the League until that changes, unfortunately.

  48. 1745:
    Tottenham 0-3 West Ham

West Ham striker Andy Carroll: Absolutely buzzing with this result!!

Sorry Andy, strikers are out now at West Ham. Total Fussball all the way...

  49. 1745:
FINAL FIVE- West Brom 1-1 Arsenal

Into the last five minutes then...

Henry Taylor-Gill: For one good young player that Man Utd keeps, it lets two go. Pogba, Morrison, Pique, Forlan etc etc.

Kiyonga: That was some brilliant individual goal from Ravel Morrison. Lets hope its not Spurs' usual chocking beginning so early.

Paul Moore: You were right Spurs fans Big Sam does ruin football games! Ruined Spurs day big time, well done West Ham.

  51. 1743:
    SUBSTITUTION- West Brom 1-1 Arsenal

Tomas Rosicky and Mesut Ozil are scheming around a packed penalty area but they can't pick a pass. Maybe here's the man to make the difference as Nicklas Bendtner comes on in place of Olivier Giroud.

  52. 1740:

Into the last 10 minutes at The Hawthorns then - anyone up for a winner?

Charles Kahanji: BOOM!!! Big Sam must be extremely elated, while furiously chewing a gum.

Larry kings: For all the criticism big Sam is getting, he is silencing them now at the lane as well.

St Albans Spurs: The same old Tottenham problems, can't defend set pieces, can't break mid-table teams down at WHL. Cost us last year as well.

  54. 1740:
    GET INVOLVED- Text 81111

Lewis Walters on text: Everyone slates Wenger for leaving Wilshere on and bringing Rosicky on then that sort of goal is scored, he knows what he's doing.

Ali Grattidge in Reading: I've tried to like him but Carl Jenkinson is not cut out for this level of football.

  55. 1739:

West Ham are up to 13th, with Norwich in the bottom three. Changing all the time...

  56. 1737:
GOAL- Tottenham 0-3 West Ham - Ravel Morrison (79 mins)

We've spent the weekend talking about special young talent coming out of Old Trafford, well here's another one.

Sensational goal from Ravel Morrison to seal victory for the Hammers. He picks the ball up in his own half, runs away from Jan Vertonghen, nutmegs Michael Dawson and then flicks it over the onrushing Hugo Lloris and in. That was very, very impresive.

  57. 1736:
Kevin Kilbane, From the Hawthorns on BBC Radio 5 LiveWest Brom 1-1 Arsenal

"A wonderful game here. It is end-to-end and you just don't know which way it is going to go."

  58. 1736:
GREAT SAVE!- West Brom 1-1 Arsenal

What a pass, Jack Wilshere gets his head up to send in Olivier Giroud with a gem of a ball, outside of the foot job. Giroud tries to go round Boaz Myhill but the keeper stands up well to smother the ball.

Youssuf Mulumbu then makes a very brave tackle to clean out Jack Wilshere and the ball from Mesut Ozil's pass. He just about gets the ball though.

  59. 1734:
    West Brom 1-1 Arsenal

OptaJoe: 54 - Jack Wilshere had gone 54 Premier League games without scoring. Overdue.

  60. 1733:
GREAT SAVE!- West Brom 1-1 Arsenal

Billy Jones goes close for West Brom, smashing in a rising shot which forces Wojciech Szczesny into a decent save.

Last 15 and this is anyone's game still.

Arsenal can go back to the top of the table with a win at West Brom this afternoon. Can they win the title? Share your views on Facebook.

Kam Fu Lee: Arsenal will do good in all competitions till February and then, in their dramatic fashion, lose everything in a couple of weeks

James Reid: Arsenal need a trophy more than a title challenge. Would it be worth Wenger trying to risk winning the league title which they probably won't, or going on a good cup run and winning a trophy which he has needed for a while now.

  62.
Kevin Kilbane, From the Hawthorns on BBC Radio 5 LiveWest Brom 1-1 Arsenal
    Jack Wilshere scores for Arsenal

"When you watch the Championship and think any team can beat any team, the Premier League is becoming more like that where, with more quality, it is difficult to predict anything."

  63. 1730:
GOAL- Tottenham 0-2 West Ham - Ricardo Vaz Te (72 mins)

Remarkable! West Ham score again, and again they get a lucky ricochet!

Nothing fortunate about Mark Noble's excellent pass to send Ricardo Vaz Te away though, that was superb, but the forward's shot is tame, only for it to come back off Hugo Lloris and go in off the thigh of Vaz Te.

You couldn't do that if you tried...

  64. 1729:
    AS IT STANDS
    Premier lEague table

That Jack Wilshere goal has sent Arsenal back to the summit as it stands, while Winston Reid's header leaves Spurs down in sixth.

  65. 1727:
    SUBSTITUTION- West Brom 1-1 Arsenal

There's no respite for Per Mertesacker as Nicolas Anelka is replaced by the equally quick and irritating Shane Long.

    Into the last 20 minutes.

  66. 1726:

Harry Hopwood: West Ham have come with a definite game plan today. Holding their formation well and packing the middle, frustrating for Spurs.

Daniel Stack: Sigurdsson's distribution is the absolute worst in the league.

  67. 1726:
Kevin Kilbane, From the Hawthorns on BBC Radio 5 LiveWest Brom 1-1 Arsenal

"A wonderfully controlled strike from Wilshere but the deflection left Boaz Myhill wrong footed."

  68. 1724:
GOAL- Tottenham 0-1 West Ham - Winston Reid (66 mins)

    Who needs strikers?

West Ham lead against the run of play as Winston Reid meets Stewart Downing's corner with a bullet header, Kevin Nolan inadvertently blocks it on the line, it falls back at the feet of the New Zealander and he smashes in.

  69. 1721:
GOAL- West Brom 1-1 Arsenal - Jack Wilshere (63 mins)

That's why Arsene Wenger has left Jack Wilshere on! He scores for only the second time in the Premier League for Arsenal. Great play from Olivier Giroud to beat two men and find Tomas Rosicky on the edge of the box, he lays it off and Wilshere cracks in a shot from 20 yards which takes a big deflection off the shins of Jonas Olsson and in.

  70. 1720:
    SUBSTITUTION- Tottenham 0-0 West Ham

Another blow for my fantasy football team as Gylfi Sigurdsson is replaced by Spurs' record signing Erik Lamela. Can the Argentine make the breakthrough?

  71. 1720:
Kevin Kilbane, From the Hawthorns on BBC Radio 5 LiveWest Brom 1-0 Arsenal
    Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey

"Arsenal need to apply the pressure. They have created a couple of chances in the last couple of minutes and they need to do more of the same."

  72. 1719:
PENALTY APPEAL- Tottenham 0-0 West Ham

A penalty appeal for West Ham as well as Mohamed Diame goes to earth under Mousa Dembele's challenge. Again, he is told to get up.

  73.

Ben Aitkenhead: WBA too defensively strong for Arsenal's patient build up.

Nick Clohessy: It's plain for all to see that Wilshere is getting very frustrated. Wenger needs to take him off before the ref sends him off.

Sean Whittall: I know it is nearly a summers day, but surely Wilshere should change his flip flops for more appropriate footwear?

  74. 1718:
PENALTY APPEAL- West Brom 1-0 Arsenal

Arsenal are camped in and around the West Brom area now. Billy Jones blocks a cross from Kieran Gibbs with his ribs/arm and the Gunners want a penalty but there's not much in it. Tomas Rosicky then batters a shot over the bar with his first touch.

  75. 1717:
    SUBSTITUTION- West Brom 1-0 Arsenal

Aaron Ramsey's goalscoring run comes to an end as he is replaced with half an hour left. Tomas Rosicky - who is somehow still only 33 - is on.

Nige in Inverness on text: Why change a winning formula to accommodate Wilshere? Over hyped because he's English.

Danny from Luton: Arsenal fans are so intolerable. One new signing and a man in form and all of a sudden they're champions? Lets be more realistic..

Daniel Gleed: Wenger needs to get some width in the Arsenal midfield. I personally would take Arteta off and bring on Gnabry.

  77. 1713:
    CLOSE!- Tottenham 0-0 West Ham

West Ham now threaten as James Tomkins wins a header from a corner and Hugo Lloris turns it away, with Kevin Nolan almost able to stab in the loose ball.

Gichohi Ndungu: I think this title talk has come a little too early. we still got more than 30 games to go. listen and watch pls

Andrew Welsby: Title talk is silly until after Christmas.

Abubakar Abdullahi: No.........They Were not Strong Enough To Win the Premier League Title.........They Were Not Matured Yet.

We are asking can Arsenal win the Premier League. Give us your views on Facebook, tweet #bbcfootball or text 81111.

  79. 1713:
Kevin Kilbane, From the Hawthorns on BBC Radio 5 LiveWest Brom 1-0 Arsenal

"That is a really good chance for Anelka. West Brom are being very expansive and are making the game very open."

  80. 1712:
GREAT SAVE!- Tottenham 0-0 West Ham

And now Spurs so close to an opener, these games have come to life. Minimal backlift, classic Jermain Defoe, rattling in a shot from 20 yards which Jussi Jasskelainen tips over the top. Goals are coming, they are coming...

  81. 1710:
    CLOSE!- West Brom 1-0 Arsenal

What a chance again! Per Mertesacker gets caught out badly again down that left wing, as Nicolas Anelka exposes him for pace and sprints clear, into the area, but curls his shot wide. That was almost trademark Anelka, he should have scored.

West Brom picking off Mertesacker in the open like a lioness targeting a Wildebeest.

  82. 1708:
    Tottenham 0-0 West Ham

Christian Eriksen whips in a free-kick from the right but a queue of Tottenham players can't quite get a telling touch on it. Andre Villas-Boas is beginning to look frustrated. Sam Allardyce, well he just looks like Sam Allardyce. Fuming.

  83. 1707:

Henry Brittain: This will be a very good measure of just what Arsenal are capable of this season, a title winning side would go and win this.

Jamie Atkins: Everyone says Arsenal fans are fickle, but I don't think the rest of fans know what to make of them either!

Benjamin: Is there anything else as pathetically predictable as the fickleness of football fans?

  84. 1705:
    CLOSE!- West Brom 1-0 Arsenal

And a great chance for the Albion as well! Saido Berahino skins Per Mertesacker on the left and puts a low cross on a plate for Nicolas Anelka - but the ball gets stuck under his feet with the goal gaping.

At the other end, Jack Wilshere lashes over the top after another good lay-off from Olivier Giroud. Great start!

  85. 1704:
    KICK-OFF- West Brom 1-0 Arsenal

Back under way at The Hawthorns as well.

  86. 1703:
GREAT SAVE!- Tottenham 0-0 West Ham

Tottenham catch West Ham napping instantly after the break, as Paulinho prods a pass through for Jermain Defoe, he's one on one with Jussi Jaaskelainen but can't beat the keeper. In honesty his shot was poor, it never looked like finding the net.

Jack Wilshere emerges first out of the tunnel and is geeing up his team-mates, no sign of West Brom yet.

  89. 1700:
    West Brom 1-0 Arsenal

Former Arsenal striker and BBC Radio 5 Live 606 presenter Ian Wright: "West Brom are having a real go. Arsenal have got the reputation as the team to beat early this season and now they need to show why. It will be an interesting second half."

  90. 1700:
    REMEMBER WHEN?

West Brom last beat Manchester United and Arsenal in the same top flight season in 1983-84, winning 1-0 at Highbury in December 1983 and beating Man United 2-0 at home in March 1984.

"It's been a little bit frustrating for Tottenham, quite satisfying for Sam Allardyce's West Ham. Despite there being no goals so far Kevin Nolan went closest from a clever free-kick. Andros Townsend has been busy but Jermain Defoe has not really had a sight of Jussi Jaasekelainen's goal as yet."

  92. 1654:

A brilliant free-kick almost has West Ham ahead! Mark Noble and Stewart Downing stand over the ball 25 yards out, Noble catches everyone out by scooping the ball over the defence and Kevin Nolan on the stretch volleys wide. Very close, and the second superbly inventive set-piece in the Premier League this weekend after Manchester City's 'Zanetti' move yesterday.

GOAL- West Brom 1-0 Arsenal - Claudio Yacob (42 mins)

A simple, simple goal has West Brom ahead! A corner from the left is headed out by Olivier Giroud, but Albion recycle the ball out to Morgan Amalfitano on the right. His cross is perfect for Claudio Yacob to get ahead of Carl Jenkinson and head in from six yards.

  107. 1641:
GREAT SAVE!- West Brom 0-0 Arsenal

He's everywhere isn't he at the moment? Aaron Ramsey smacks a shot through a crowded penalty area and Boaz Myhill gets down smartly to beat the ball clear, he also gets the ball away from the Gunners who were following in.

Per Mertesacker then has to make a smart block at the other end to block a volley from Stephane Sessegnon.

You feel that an equaliser is not too far away for Swansea. Lovely move down their right sees Wilfried Bony backheel the path into the run of former Saint Nathan Dyer, he backs up his man to run into the area, then finds space for a left-footed shot which clips the inside of the post and bounces out. So unlucky!

Dyer then has an unsavoury moment seconds later, catching Danny Fox with a high boot. He gets away with it though.

  254. 1406:
    Southampton 1-0 Swansea

My PE teacher would approve of this, a bone-cruncher of a tackle! No foul or malice here as Nathaniel Clyne and Ben Davies compete for a 50/50 which leaves Davies stretched out on the deck. He's winded but OK to continue.

  255. 1405:

Ah Demba Ba, it was going so well! Ramires pings a ball into the channel, a willing run from Ba opens up the Norwich defence, he cuts inside on to his left foot but can't keep his shot down. I've seen this from Chelsea a few times this season, they come out all guns blazing for 20-25 minutes but then go off the boil. While it's still only 1-0 their fans may have some concerns.

Paul on text: Ramsey cost £5 mill, Oscar £25 mill. Oscar should be scoring/setting up for that price and he hasn't had the injuries either like Ramsey. If anything he's still underperforming.

Edward in Bristol: You can say what you like about sideshow Bob's defending, there's not many who could shell a 60 yard pass with pin point accuracy like David Luiz can.

  258. 1358:
    Norwich 0-1 Chelsea

Demba Ba gets the better of John Ruddy again, manhandling the Norwich keeper and forcing him to concede a corner. Ba is proving a massive handful today, I'm sure he's doing exactly what Jose Mourinho wanted him to so far.

  259. 1357:

Jamie Scott: Chelsea flying to Norwich from London has to be a contender for the most unnecessary plane flight of the year.

Chris Parker: I am a bit surprised Chelsea haven't tried a Spain style 4-6-0 formation.

Adam Kenya: Jose playing guesswork with Chelsea, doing trial and error method! Obsessed with certain players, can't develop a talent.

  260. 1355:
    GREAT SAVE!- Southampton 1-0 Swansea
    Southampton celebrate scoring against Swansea

It's been all Southampton, with Adam Lallana superb, but Swansea have two great chances in the space of 60 seconds. Michu first climbs high at the back post to thump in a header which Artur Boruc claws out, before Jonjo Shelvey tests the Pole with a low skiddy shot. Fine goalkeeping.

Ryan in St. Albans on text: Good hold up play from Ba so far and a good assist too. Hopefully he will get more of a chance to prove himself now after the injury to Torres.

Flynn, an Arsenal fan: Chelsea Loan XI: Courtois, Hutchinson, van Aanholt, Chalobah, Wallace, Romeu, McEachran, Marin, Piazon, Moses, Lukaku. Thoughts?

Joe in Folkestone: Big chance for Demba Ba today, and one he really needs to take for the sake of his Chelsea career.

  262. 1352:
    GREAT SAVE!- Norwich 0-1 Chelsea

Out of nowhere, Norwich almost equalise! A great cross from the right from Robert Snodgrass finds Jonny Howson at the near post, he gets there in front of David Luiz to prod a volley at goal but Petr Cech makes a fine save with his feet! The old League One Leeds connection doing the damage for Norwich.

  263. 1352:
Tony Pulis, Former Stoke manager on BBC Radio 5 live at SouthamptonSouthampton 1-0 Swansea

"A great pass from Steven Davis and a great finish from Adam Lallana, a terrific player, he can play wide, off the front, technically very good and with good pace."

  264. 1351:
    CLOSE!- Norwich 0-1 Chelsea

Demba Ba is playing like a man whose club future is on the line here. Again a long ball forwards causes problems as Ba challenges John Ruddy and almost hooks the ball home. Arguably a foul on Ruddy there to be honest but the referee waved play on.

  265. 1349:
GOAL- Southampton 1-0 Swansea - Adam Lallana (19 mins)

Bang! Cracking goal from the game's outstanding player so far. Adam Lallana starts the move with a dangerous cross from the right, Chico can only half clear his lines, and when Steven Davis slides the ball back to Lallana he leathers it into the roof of the net. You don't save those!

  266. 1345:
    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

Southampton look the more lively side in this opening spell, Michu - in his new hat - has been fairly quiet. What are the limits on protective headwear by the way? Will we see someone line up in a full-on NFL helmet soon?

    Chelsea celebrate Oscar's opener

Tunde Akere: If none of our strikers score today, I will advise Jose convert Oscar to striker, he has been our Ramsey this season.

Syrup: With midfielders like these, who needs strikers anyway! #cfc

Ryan: Everyone saying Chelsea haven't had a striker score, a goal is still a goal scored by a striker or not.

  268. 1343:
    GREAT SAVE!- Norwich 0-1 Chelsea

Demba Ba so close to that elusive goal from a Chelsea striker! Ramires and Juan Mata combine in midfield, Mata slides a perfect through-pass to Ba, and his left-footed effort is only kept out by a fine stop from John Ruddy. Chelsea looking ominously strong in this opening spell.

  269. 1342:
    Norwich 0-1 Chelsea

Norwich mount their first attack of the day, good play from Ricky van Wolfswinkel to send Anthony Pilkington away on the right but Frank Lampard tracks him all the way to make a great tackle.

  270. 1341:

Tony Pulis not a fan of overplaying. Who would have thought it?

  271. 1341:
Tony Pulis, Former Stoke manager on BBC Radio 5 live at SouthamptonSouthampton 0-0 Swansea

Richard Konadu: Demba Ba looks stacks better than Torres and Eto'o already, would have loved him at Arsenal as cover for Giroud.

Mutelo R M: People say Ba had no movement. You lot obviously don't watch football. His movement for that goal, hold up play was excellent.

Robert Scott: I think Chelsea will humble Norwich the old school way at this rate. Norwich look like they are struggling

  273. 1339:
    AS IT STANDS
    Premier League table

That early goal from Oscar - his fourth of the season - has sent Chelsea up to third place in the table as it stands. Norwich remain in 15th.

  274. 1337:
    CLOSE!- Southampton 0-0 Swansea

Jonjo Shelvey - when will you learn? Fresh from his double error against Liverpool the other week, Shelvey faffs about too much on the edge of his penalty area and gives the ball away. Dani Osvaldo is played in and does well to sit down Chico Flores, but then shoots over the top from a tight angle.

  275. 1336:
    Norwich 0-1 Chelsea

Just prior to that opener Demba Ba had a penalty appeal waved away as he tangled with a Norwich defender. Very good start from the former Newcastle man.

  276. 1336:
Conor McNamara, BBC commentator at Carrow RoadNorwich 0-1 Chelsea

On Oscar's opener for Chelsea at Norwich:

"It has not been scored by a striker because Chelsea haven't seen a striker score all season. Demba Ba did set it up and Oscar only needed one touch. A very simple goal for Chelsea."

  277. 1333:
GOAL- Norwich 0-1 Chelsea - Oscar (4 mins)

He may not have scored, but Demba Ba plays a huge part in Chelsea taking an early lead. Jose Mourinho called this a typical English match, and a typical English ball forward from Frank Lampard opens up the Norwich defence. Ba takes it down wonderfully with a smart touch before teeing up Oscar on the edge of the area, and the Brazilian's low finish is superb.

  278. 1333:
    Norwich 0-0 Chelsea

David Luiz is right into the action, clearing the ball away but then catching Anthony Pilkington on the thigh with his follow through. Nothing like an early stud to wake you up...

Michael Ogunkola: Chelsea front 4 Lukaku, Lukaku, Lukaku, Lukaku.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, speaking about the decision to give Demba Ba his second start of the season: "The thinking is that first of all he works hard. He is a good professional and good professionals deserve respect and deserve a chance now and then. Also this is a typical English match, on a small pitch against an opponent that plays quite aggressive and we believe this game is adapted for someone who has lots of matches in the Premier League."

Tunde Akere: It's good Ba is starting this afternoon, he has sat so long on the bench. I was wondering what's his feelings like seeing Remy.

John Murray, Speaking on BBC MOTD2 Extra

"I think the most important thing on Saturday for England was that there were no injuries. Let's hope it continues today. I'm sure Roy Hodgson had a sharp intake of breath when Rooney was hobbling around at the Stadium of Light but I feel he'll go with experience this week and opt for Ashley Cole over Leighton Baines at left-back. I'd be very surprised if there is any way the pair will play together down the left side."

  295. 1257:
    HODGSON'S BIG WEEK

England's decisive qualification week will see them take on Montenegro and Poland as they bid to qualify for Brazil 2014 and manager Roy Hodgson says it's the biggest week of his career.

He told Match of the Day last night: "It feels like it. I've had some weeks in the past leading countries in the final week of qualification and you get the sense of responsibility but when it's your own country, it weighs a little bit more heavy."

Oh, how we laughed when Victor Wanyama said that Southampton 'could reach the Champions League' this season.

Oh, how we were silenced when they went fourth the other week. Oh, how Southampton fans may laugh if they go third with a win at home today...

Michu, recently hailed as his best-ever signing by Swansea manager Michael Laudrup, starts this afternoon despite taking a knock to the head in the Europa League on Thursday.

The Spanish striker was caught by a wild boot from St Gallen's Stephane Besle but played on in that game, changing his shirt three times because of the blood on it. He has evidently shown no ill effects as he starts behind Wilfried Bony.

For Southampton, Danny Fox comes into the side with Luke Shaw having suffered with illness during the week.
