Yep, Hani is right - 6ft 7ins Fraser Forster must feel almost seven feet tall after that performance!

It's time for me to sign off now, but not before I let you know about tomorrow night's little Champions League treat. We'll bring you live coverage of Shakhtar Donetsk v Manchester United and the game of the week - Manchester City v Bayern Munich. It's going to be good, so be sure to join us from 1830 BST. Thanks for your contributions this evening. Good night.

Hani Nyabam: Fraser Foster definitely needs to be the England number one with saves like that. Heading for greatness!

Matt Donnachie: Can't stop smiling after that Arsenal performance. Possibly too chuffed.

Saikat Nandy: It's mouth-watering to think that Walcott, Podoski and Oxlade-Chamberlain are yet to come back. Fighting for the bench. Will love that.

BBC Radio 5 liveCeltic 0-1 Barcelona

Former Celtic defender Gary Caldwell on 5 live Sport: "I think the sending off was harsh. He had a little flick out at Neymar and the frustrating thing is that he gave the referee a decision to make. But I thought it was harsh and Neymar sucked the referee in. A few Barcelona players went down very easily and make the most of every situation, and it cost Celtic the game.

"Fraser Forster had very little to do until the last 15 minutes, when he made a number of world-class saves. He kept Celtic in the game."

  4. 2213:
    MANAGER REACTION- Celtic 0-1 Barcelona

Celtic's Neil Lennon, on Ajax's draw with Milan: "It's a good result for us. The double-header against Ajax is vital.

"We'll try and get at least four points from that and then we've got Milan at home."

  5. 2210:
    MANAGER REACTION- Doncaster 0-2 Burnley

Burnley boss Sean Dyche: "We spoke with the group in the summer about what we thought we would need to do to be competitive. We've got a real togetherness and team spirit. Teams that I played in where we did well were galvanised as a group. As a group they've been fantastic in the way they have taken that into performances.

"The back five were terrific again tonight and they're the base from which we work as a team. And we have got a threat as a team. These are really good signs but, and it is a cliche, it is one game at a time. We won't get too carried away, though we'll enjoy it of course."

  6. 2209:

Jose's happy, Arsene's beaming... but what about Sean Dyche? The Burnley boss must have a grin wider than a double decker bus tonight after his Clarets side won at Doncaster to go top of the Championship. Are the boys from East Lancashire heading back to the Premier League?

  7. 2205:
MANAGER REACTION- Steaua Bucharest 0-4 Chelsea
    Jose Mourinho

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho: "The result is obviously very good. The points and the goals. The performance was very solid. We played well from first minute and kept control from then on. We played with intelligence and maturity. Playing away in this competition is not always easy.

"Now we have three points in two matches, but we are not dramatic situation, now we are in a close situation. Schalke have the advantage and we have a double fixture against them. I think we are going to qualify.

"We get points against Schalke and beat Steaua and Basel and we qualify. Tonight we had to identify what we had to do well - Schurrle was the man to do that. We played a lot from the left side."

  8. 2202:
    PLAYER REACTION- Arsenal 2-0 Napoli
    Olivier Giroud & Mesut Ozil

Arsenal goalscorer Olivier Giroud: "We had a great first 45 minutes and that meant we could play our game in the second half. Mesut Ozil is a great player it is really easy to play with him.

"We have a good relationship and understanding on the field."

  9. 2201:
    MANAGER REACTION- Arsenal 2-0 Napoli
    Arsene Wenger

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger: "I felt that we played at a good pace, technically very direct and finished with great goals. The first half was outstanding. The second half we played more with maturity, less with drive going forward, a bit more cautious, but overall and outstanding game.

"The first half was amazing, absolutely fantastic. Everything was in there. All that you dream to see when you come to watch football.

"We were solid. Flamini and Arteta contributed to that, and overall it was positive because I wanted Flamini to be very good on the counter-attack, especially with Ramsey, and that worked very well.

[On winning the first two games] "You cannot start better, and the next two will be deciders. That's when we want the game to come back after the international break and have a great game against Dortmund."

  10. 2201:
Graeme Le Saux, Former England defender at Emirates Stadium for 5 live SportCeltic 0-1 Barcelona

"European referees are much less tolerant to the physical side of the game. But having seen that petulant action [from Scott Brown] most referees would come to the same conclusion - a sending off. I always felt I had to play differently in Europe, whereas in England I could always have a dialogue with a referee."

    GET INVOLVED #bbcfootball

David Nicholas: It's all very well saying that Celtic could've taken a point, but the way they played football tonight was shocking.

Yvsaditya: Celtic were poor, wild and physical thoughout the game. Their fear and frustration caused the red card and the deserved loss.

Myles: The Champions League will obviously take centre stage tonight but hats off to Sean Dyche and Burnley so far this season!

  12. 2200:
    MANAGER REACTION- Celtic 0-1 Barcelona
    Neil Lennon

Celtic manager Neil Lennon: "I'm not convinced it's a red card. If there's any contact it's very minimal.

"It changed the game. It's hard enough playing against Barcelona with 11 men, never mind 10 men.

"Neymar has a reputation in the game. Sometimes he exaggerates things a little bit."

Craig Levein, Former Scotland manager at Celtic Park for 5 live SportCeltic 0-1 Barcelona

"Watching the game live we couldn't see Scott Brown do anything. We have to accept he flicked his foot out at Neymar. If he hadn't have done it he wouldn't have been sent off, simple as that. He left his team in trouble. He's given the referee an opportunity to show him the red card. Without a shadow of a doubt it changed the course of the match.

"I thought Celtic were comfortable tonight, even though Barcelona had loads of possession. They defended their box really well, and I didn't think Barcelona were going to score.

"If Neil Lennon had 11 men on the pitch at the end of the game he would have had an opportunity to go for it. That was nullified by Brown's sending off."

  14. 2157:
PLAYER REACTION- Steaua Bucharest 0-4 Chelsea
    Andre Schurrle

Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata: "This is what Chelsea needed. The first game against Basel was a painful defeat. We showed we wanted to win. We played really well. It was enough to win. It will now give us confidence. The team played very well and were solid. I just have to keep going - I'm training well. I have to do my best after every training session and game."

  15. 2155:
    PLAYER REACTION- Arsenal 2-0 Napoli
    Mikel Arteta & Mesut Ozil

Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta: "Considering we were playing against a top side, we played very efficiently winning the ball back and it was a very impressive first 45 minutes.

"We have the talent up front to score the goals. But there is also a hunger. Now we know that we need to win the ball back quickly, because when we win it back in the final third we are very dangerous.

"We still have players to come back from injury and they will add their own qualities."

    GET INVOLVED #bbcfootball

Chase Rasmussen: Arsenal quietening their doubters? Excellent all around performance.

Matt Sentance: Fantastic first half from Arsenal. An assured and comfortable second half to see the game out. Wenger's side looked like men

Ibrahim Cavalcanti: Once more, great effort by the Bhoys - pity Barca got a late goal. Forster's form's been unbelievable, and he's better than Hart I think.

  17. 2153:
PLAYER REACTION- Steaua Bucharest 0-4 Chelsea
    Andre Schurrle

Chelsea midfielder Andre Schurrle: "We were, from the first minute, the better team. We played with more confidence and had more possession. I always want to start and play - the manager knows that. It's good for me that I started."

Graeme Le Saux, Former England defender at Emirates Stadium for 5 live SportArsenal 2-0 Napoli

"In the first half Arsenal did all their work. They got the cushion of the two goals and were able in the second half to create two banks of four and defend. Players like Flamini were very disciplined and allowed the creative players to play in front of them.

"All through the pitch Arsenal were helping each other through the game. They are in a rich vein of form at the moment and kept their discipline and focus. They asked Napoli, what have you got? The answer was: not a lot."

Keith in Manchester on 81111 on text: It's depressing that a team as bursting full of talent as Barcelona has to resort to cheating. No love for a team like that.

Caleb from Bristol on 81111 on text: Surely Forster deserves an England call up? Truly class keeper who could give Hart some competition.

Greg on 81111 on text: Hope Roy Hodgson was watching this - Forster over Hart in goal for England. It's a no-brainer!

  20. 2147:

Burnley will top the Championship tonight after beating Doncaster 2-0 to jump above QPR on goal difference. Elsewhere, Derby sensationally came from 4-1 down to draw 4-4 with Ipswich, whilst Sheffield Wednesday are now without a win in nine league games after a late goal from Keith Andrews earned Brighton a point in a 1-1 draw.

Yeovil are without a win in 10 after losing 2-1 to Leicester, whilst Birmingham hammered Millwall 4-0 and Leeds beat 10-man Bournemouth 2-1.

Meanwhile, Barnsley, Brighton and Middlesbrough scored late equalisers to earn draws against Reading, Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield.

  21. 2146:

As for Celtic, they are still waiting to pick up their first point as Barcelona and AC Milan make the early running in Group H. Poor Ajax, who were lumped in with Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid last season, are also facing a struggle to qualify.

  22. 2144:

Chelsea will be thankful to pick up their first victory in the Champions League this season, but it was against bottom club Steaua, and they remain third but tied on points with Basel. Schalke are already bossing Group E by picking up two wins from two.

  23. 2142:

What do those results mean in the group standings? Let me tell you...

First of all, Arsenal have six points out of six and lead Group F by three points ahead of Napoli and Borussia Dortmund. Already it's looking a tough task for Marseille, who have yet to pick up a single point.

    GET INVOLVED #bbcfootball

Adi: Barca dominant, Celtic poor in possession and desperately defensive. One way traffic all evening.

Charles Henry: Barcelona got lucky with the red card for Celtic.

Felix Coffee: ‏The kind of result Chelsea needed...

  25. 2141:

Robert Lewandowski has sealed an emphatic 3-0 victory for Borussia Dortmund against Marseille by scoring from the penalty spot. Arsenal will have to be at their very best in their upcoming double-header against the Bundesliga leaders.

Celtic will take pride in the fact that Ajax have managed to take two points off AC Milan in the battle for second spot in Group H. Former Manchester City man Mario Balotelli salvaged a point for Milan thanks to an injury-time penalty.

Chelsea travel to Schalke - 1-0 winners away at FC Basel - in just over three weeks time knowing that they must get a result to keep in touch with the group leaders. Arda Turan has scored a late winner in the Dragao Stadium to put Atletico Madrid firmly in charge of Group G at the expense of Porto.

  26. 2139:

So there we have it...easy victories for Arsenal and Chelsea, and Celtic only being narrowly beaten by Barca. So what did you make of all that? Let us know on Twitter, using #bbcfootball, or send a text to 81111.

Craig Levein, Former Scotland manager at Celtic Park for 5 live SportCeltic 0-1 Barcelona

"Celtic played an excellent match tonight. We all knew Barcelona would dominate possession, and I thought they would also dominate chances and shots on goal. But it was only after the sending off the tide turned, unfortunately they did get the goal they were seeking. Celtic battled away towards the end and just could not get something."

  28. 2136:
    FULL-TIME- Steaua Bucharest 0-4 Chelsea

Chelsea are up and running in this season's Champions League too. That's their first victory - and comprehensive it was too.

  29. 2135:
    FULL-TIME- Celtic 0-1 Barcelona

And the whistle goes in Glasgow too, where plucky 10-man Celtic have only just been beaten by Barcelona. Neil Lennon's boys should be proud of their efforts tonight. Once again.

  30. 2134:
    FULL-TIME- Arsenal 2-0 Napoli

Two games, two wins, six points. It's all going rather well for Arsenal in their supposed tricky Group F...

  31. 2134:

Stunning scenes at Pride Park, where it's now 4-4! Derby had trailed Ipswich 4-1 at half-time, but Craig Bryson's second goal of the night looks to have rescued a point for Steve McClaren's new side

  32. 2133:
    GREAT SAVE!- Celtic 0-1 Barcelona

Barcelona sweeping forward, exploiting Celtic holes at the back, and Neymar is played through. A first-time shot from the Brazilian but acrobatics again from Forster, saving down low to his left and keeping his side in this. Are you watching, Roy?

  33. 2131:
GOAL- Steaua Bucharest 0-4 Chelsea - Frank Lampard (90 mins)

No Chelsea rout is complete without a 12-yard daisy-cutter from Frank Lampard - and the England midfielder obliges after good, unselfish work from Willian and Samuel Eto'o. Easy.

    GET INVOLVED #bbcfootball

Emma Lacey: Absolutely gutted for Celtic...

Temi: I think I have just seen two of the greatest saves of all time!

Denim Bartholomew: Forster has to get some games for England after yet another brilliant game against best team in the world.

Chief football writer Phil McNulty at the EmiratesArsenal 2-0 Napoli

The chant of "There's Only One Arsene Wenger" rings around The Emirates. This has been a very satisfactory night's work for Arsenal and plenty of fans feel comfortable enough to make their way to the exits.

The early brilliance of Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey effectively decided this game as Arsenal continue their impressive start in Champions League Group F.

  36. 2129:
Craig Levein, Former Scotland manager at Celtic Park for 5 live SportCeltic 0-1 Barcelona

"I thought that was inevitable to be hitting the back of the net. The first save from Forster was great, but the second was just exceptional to prevent the ball nestling into the bottom corner."

Listen to Celtic v Barcelona on BBC Radio 5 live, though commentary is not available online.

  37. 2129:
    GREAT SAVE!- Celtic 0-1 Barcelona

Celtic's English goalkeeper Fraser Forster has really shone in the Champions League in the last couple of years, and he makes another superb pair of stops to deny Neymar from 12 yards and Alexis Sanchez from the follow-up.

  38. 2127:

The good news for Arsenal and Chelsea supporters is their boys have left plenty in the tank ahead of Sunday's trips to West Brom and Norwich respectively. Both sides have been utterly dominant.

    GET INVOLVED #bbcfootball

    Jethro Colmer: Fabregas, that hurt...

Jamaticulus: I feel for Neil Lennon and his team. They they were going to nick a point in this match-up. Brown was vital for them before he got sent off.

Ashley Williams: I can never say a team is a great team until they play the game in the right way and win fairly. I'm sick of play acting and diving.

  40. 2123:
    SUBSTITUTION- Steaua Bucharest 0-3 Chelsea

Jose Mourinho makes his final change of the night as he brings on Willian for Juan Mata. The little Spaniard gets a handshake from his boss as he leaves the field. He's back in favour now, that's for sure.

  41. 2121:
    SUBSTITUTION- Steaua Bucharest 0-3 Chelsea

We've got just over 10 minutes left in all of our Champions League matches tonight and Chelsea make a change as Cesar Azpilicueta comes on for Oscar who has been fairly quiet this evening.

  42. 2120:
    GREAT SAVE!- Arsenal 2-0 Napoli

Napoli stopper Pepe Reina is all that stands between Arsenal and a three-goal lead. The on-loan Liverpool goalkeeper stands tall to block Laurent Koscielny's shot after Mikel Arteta's neat flick-on lands at the central defender's feet 10 yards out.

  43. 2119:
    Steaua Bucharest 0-3 Chelsea

Samuel Eto'o's angled volley at the far post from six yards is well saved by Steaua keeper Ciprian Tatarusanu.

  44. 2119:

Yeovil still haven't scored at home this season, and if that doesn't change, they're heading for a 10th game without a win after Lloyd Dyer and Dave Nugent put Leicester 2-0 up at Huish Park. 10-man Bournemouth have equalised at Leeds through Lewis Grabban, and it's game on at Pride Park where Jamie Ward has scored for Derby, meaning they trail Ipswich 4-3.

  45. 2118:

Schalke have opened the scoring away at FC Basel through attacking midfielder Julian Draxler. The German outfit look set to top Group E tonight ahead of back-to-back fixtures against Chelsea. Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid are back on level terms against Porto thanks to Diego Godin's header.

  46. 2118:

BBC Sport's Andy Cryer at Ewood Park: "Jordan Rhodes has now scored nine goals in his last seven games for Blackburn Rovers after heading the hosts into a 1-0 lead at home to Watford."

  47. 2118:
    Steaua Bucharest 0-3 Chelsea

Steaua midfielder Nicolae Stanciu cuts inside in the Chelsea area and fires in a powerful shot that Chelsea keeper Petr Cech saves brilliantly.

Craig Levein, Former Scotland manager at Celtic Park for 5 live SportCeltic 0-1 Barcelona

"Neymar, as much as he's been pilloried by the supporters here, made a great run. Then to Sanchez, who crossed into the box, and the Celtic players were all running towards their own goal. Fabregas put the breaks on and it all but landed on his head. That's a great goal but such a shame for Celtic, the way they have defended."

Listen to Celtic v Barcelona on BBC Radio 5 live, though commentary is not available online.

  49. 2116:
GOAL- Celtic 0-1 Barcelona - Cesc Fabregas (76 mins)

Nope, it doesn't look like they can [2115]. Will those missed chances return to haunt Celtic? Barcelona take the lead as Cesc Fabregas heads home unmarked from 10 yards out to convert Alexis Sanchez's cross.

  50. 2115:
    GREAT SAVE!- Celtic 0-0 Barcelona

Even with 10 men, Celtic are pushing Barcelona all the way. In fact, they would have been in the lead but for a superb Victor Valdes save from James Forrest's stinging shot. From the resulting corner, Charlie Mulgrew heads wide from 10 yards out They can't, can they?

  51. 2114:
    CLOSE!- Steaua Bucharest 0-3 Chelsea

The only thing missing from Andre Schurrle's performance tonight is a goal, and he nearly gets it as he picks up the ball 12 yards out and tries to bend it past the far post. He narrowly misses - but he's getting closer.

Graeme Le Saux, Former England defender at Emirates Stadium for 5 live SportArsenal 2-0 Napoli

"No real penetration from Napoli. They've had plenty of possession this half without going anywhere."

Alan in Stirling on 81111: It was a red card, but to say Neymar made the most of it would be an understatement!

Mark from Berkshire on 81111 on text: Stupid from Brown, cheating from Neymar. The ref got that wrong - should have been a yellow for each player.

Damien in Trowbridge on 81111 on text: Busquets is a disgrace! The ref has a yellow card in his hand 'til he gets involved!

  54. 2110:
HITS THE WOODWORK- Steaua Bucharest 0-3 Chelsea

Chelsea go close again. This time Oscar's powerful strike from the edge of the area clips the bar and goes behind.

Chief football writer Phil McNulty at the EmiratesArsenal 2-0 Napoli

"All a bit subdued here now but the good news for Arsenal is that Napoli show no signs of possessing the quality to endanger their lead. Bit of community singing around the stadium from Arsenal's fans - Napoli are going very quietly on this evidence."

  56. 2109:
    Arsenal 2-0 Napoli

Arsenal are beginning to sit back now, inviting pressure from Napoli, and they are thankful for a woeful finish from Camilo Zuniga which ends up in Row Z after he was teed up by Marek Hamsik.

Craig Levein, Former Scotland manager at Celtic Park for 5 live SportCeltic 0-0 Barcelona

"The red card has stung this crowd into life, and whenever Neymar so much as touches the ball they are baying."

Listen to Celtic v Barcelona on BBC Radio 5 live, though commentary is not available online.

  58. 2106:
    CLOSE!- Steaua Bucharest 0-3 Chelsea

Andre Schurrle has run the show for Chelsea tonight - this time cutting inside and getting a shot in which Ciprian Tatarusanu easily deals with.

  59. 2105:
BBC Sport's at Alasdair Lamont at Celtic ParkCeltic 0-0 Barcelona

"The supporters inside Celtic Park are certainly making Neymar aware of their lack of appreciation for the part he played in Scott Brown's dismissal. A cacophony of boos greet his every touch. If Celtic can see out this remaining half-hour without conceding, it might well be more impressive than last season's victory."

  60. 2105:
    OUCH!- Steaua Bucharest 0-3 Chelsea

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech receives treatment on the pitch after he collides with the post in trying to prevent Cristian Tanasa's shot from creeping under the bar. He appears to be OK though. Cech suffered a head injury in 2006 after a collision with Reading player Stephen Hunt - the Czech keeper has worn a headguard while playing ever since.

  61. 2104:
    SUBSTITUTION- Arsenal 2-0 Napoli

Arsenal have strength in depth these days too, emphasised as Arsene Wenger brings off Tomas Rosicky and gives Jack Wilshere half an hour. This is an accomplished display by the Gunners tonight.

  62. 2103:

Borussia Dortmund are heading for three points against Marseille after Germany international Marco Reus was credited with a scrappy goal early in the second half. It's still goalless in the other games in Chelsea and Celtic's groups.

    GET INVOLVED #bbcfootball

Daniel: Mata and Ozil are two very different players but you'd have to say Ozil just because he has been consistently good for longer.

Ubaidullah Budye: Of course Ozil is better. But I don't understand what's the Mata with Mourinho.

Rachel T: Mata - because he has done it consistently in the Premier League for two seasons.

  64. 2102:

The goals are beginning to fly in in the Championship, and could the comeback be on for Derby at Pride Park? Two half-time subs seem to have sparked the Rams into life as Craig Bryson nets to reduce Ipswich's lead to 4-2. Elsewhere, Ross McCormack has made up for his earlier penalty miss by putting Leeds 1-0 up against 10-man Bournemouth, whilst Barnsley could be heading for a fifth straight defeat as they trail Reading 1-0.

  65. 2102:
HITS THE WOODWORK- Steaua Bucharest 0-3 Chelsea

Excellent move by Chelsea. Oscar drifts past a couple of challenges in the area before backheeling the ball to Juan Mata, whose low shot rebounds off the near post.

Craig Levein, Former Scotland manager at Celtic Park for 5 live SportCeltic 0-0 Barcelona

"That is unbelievable. Celtic had players back behind the ball as well. I didn't see any kick out, but if there was one that's stupid. But watching live I didn't see anything that merited a red card. And if it isn't hard enough for Neil Lennon top put together a gameplan against one of the best teams in the world, now he's down to 10 men. I do believe now it'll just be a case of holding on for Celtic."

Listen to Celtic v Barcelona on BBC Radio 5 live, though commentary is not available online.

  67. 2059:
RED CARD- Celtic 0-0 Barcelona (Scott Brown, 59 mins)

Playing Barcelona with 11 men is hard enough, but now Celtic have to do it with 10. Skipper Scott Brown is given his marching orders after bringing down Neymar in full flow and then having a bit of seconds with a sly kick out at the Brazilian.

  68. 2057:
GOAL- Steaua Bucharest 0-3 Chelsea - Ramires (55 mins)

The boy Ramires is on a hat-trick now. But he's got Andre Schurrle to thank for it, with the German showing some superb skill to spin his marker on the halfway line and get forward. He picks out Oscar, who helps the ball to Ramires and the midfielder rifles home his second of the evening.

"The longer this game stays at 0-0 the more chance Celtic have of winning. A set piece in the last 10 minutes and you never know. This game is certainly being controlled by Barcelona, but not in a manner where they look like they are going to score any time soon."

James Fleming: I'd be surprised if a top English club doesn't go in for Brown in the next one or two transfer windows - he's bossed Iniesta tonight...

Raphael Asiedu Otu: Keep calm and watch the Ozil Show.

Jared Davies: After that half I reckon Steaua Needarest!

  72. 2052:
    Arsenal 2-0 Napoli

Gonzalo Higuain is looking a bit frustrated in the Napoli dug-out. He's not playing tonight because he's got a little niggle from the weekend, and he must have been impressed by Arsenal's play this evening. Still the Gunners spray the ball about with supreme confidence.

  73. 2051:
    Steaua Bucharest 0-2 Chelsea

With the game virtually sewn up, the best thing that can happen to Chelsea in the second half is if Samuel Eto'o gets off the mark for the club. Again he tries from range, and again it's an easy save for the keeper. He's being a bit greedy at the moment.

Alasdair Lamont, BBC SportCeltic 0-0 Barcelona

"I'm certain Neil Lennon will have been delighted to have gone in at half-time without having conceded, but it will be a test of every Celtic fan's nerve if they have to contend with that amount of pressure for another 45 minutes. It must have been physically and mentally exhausting for the home players to have done so much chasing in the opening period."

  75. 2047:

Right then, we're back under way in Romania, Scotland and England. What does the second half have in store for us?

  76. 2046:
    ANALYSIS- Steaua Bucharest 0-2 Chelsea

As for Chelsea, they are finally beginning to see the best of Germany international Andre Schurrle, who has caused Steaua all sorts of problems down the left flank this evening - as this graphic attests.

    Andre Schurrle

FIRST HALF STATS- Arsenal 2-0 Napoli

Arsenal's midfield is the envy of Europe these days and, if you don't believe me, check out these stats from the first half of tonight's match. Dominant.

    Match stats
  78. 2042:
    Arsenal 2-0 Napoli

So it's not only Mesut Ozil who is behind Arsenal's revival. It's Mathieu Flamini too [see tweet below]. Just wait until another summer signing Yaya Sanogo starts banging them in. After all, I've yet to see a footballer named Yaya who doesn't bang them in.

  79. 2040:

It's half-time in 10 of the night's 11 Championship matches and Burnley are heading to the top of the table after Sam Vokes' penalty put them 1-0 up against Doncaster. Elsewhere, Ipswich lead Derby 4-1 at Pride Park, whilst Matty Fryatt's first goal since April 2012 has handed Sheffield Wednesday the advantage away to Brighton. Nottingham Forest and Birmingham also lead.

  80. 2039:

Jackson Martinez's header has put Porto ahead at half-time against Atletico Madrid, who have won all seven of their La Liga fixtures so far this campaign. The deadlock has yet to be broken as FC Basel host Schalke and AC Milan visit Ajax. Last season's runners-up Borussia Dortmund remain a goal to the good against Marseille.

Mathew Penistone: Less than a month playing with Ozil and Ramsey is ten times the player he was. Hope the English lads go the same way.

Steven Levett: As well as Arsenal are playing, I still can't see us finishing above third in the league. But FA Cup finalists isn't a bad call.

Sebastian: Flamini is exactly the sort of player the Arsenal have been crying out for, ever since the departure of... Flamini!

  82. 2035:

So far so good for our British sides tonight then. Arsenal and Chelsea are cruising towards victory and Celtic are holding firm against Barcelona. But will it stay that way?

Craig Levein, Former Scotland manager at Celtic Park for 5 live SportCeltic 0-0 Barcelona

"As long as Barcelona continue to attack Celtic in wide areas and rely on crosses to score, I'm sure Neil Lennon will be very happy. A pattern has developed, with Barcelona being more direct. They play diagonals, trying to get speedy wide players in behind the defence. But that hasn't worked as yet, though it's something Celtic will have to defend against in the second half."

Listen to Celtic v Barcelona on BBC Radio 5 live, though commentary is not available online.

  84. 2032:
    HALF-TIME- Steaua Bucharest 0-2 Chelsea

BBC Sport's Saj Chowdhury: Thanks to that own goal just before the whistle, Chelsea look to have all three points in the bag. They have been comfortable against a Steaua side that have shown little bite in attack and look suspect in defence.

  85. 2032:
Phil McNulty, BBC Sport Chief Football Writer at Emirates StadiumArsenal 2-0 Napoli

"Alan Hansen once called confidence 'the most precious and mysterious commodity in football - where does it come from and where does it go to?'

"Arsenal are the perfect example of a team with confidence tonight and the shining symbol is Aaron Ramsey. Always a big talent but curtailed by serious injury, his growing confidence means he looks the complete midfield player alongside Mesut Ozil.

"Napoli making a bit more of a fist of this but Arsenal still very much in command."

  86. 2031:
    HALF-TIME- Celtic 0-0 Barcelona
  87. 2031:
    HALF-TIME- Arsenal 2-0 Napoli
  88. 2029:
GOAL- Steaua Bucharest 0-2 Chelsea - Daniel Georgievski own goal (44 mins)

Chelsea's class shows in Romania as they double their lead on the stroke of half-time. Steaua win a free-kick inside Chelsea's half, but a floated ball forward is of no danger and the visitors break with real purpose. Juan Mata plays a lovely ball through for Samuel Eto'o, who sees his shot saved but the rebound poked into his own net by the unlucky Daniel Georgievski.

  89. 2027:
    CLOSE!- Celtic 0-0 Barcelona

A let-off for Celtic as Dani Alves picks out Neymar who stabs wide from 12 yards out. The Brazilian magician is human after all, it seems.

  90. 2026:

It's all gone quiet on the goal front, but things have gone from bad to worse for Derby at Pride Park after Daryl Murphy netted his second to put Ipswich 4-1 up, whilst David Murphy has also netted his second of the night to extend Birmingham's lead against Millwall.

  91. 2025:
    Steaua Bucharest 0-1 Chelsea

Better from Steaua as they begin to assert some authority on the match with a couple of crosses which Petr Cech flaps out. That's helped to raise the volume a notch too.

  92. 2023:

Head to the BBC Sport Facebook page to see photos from tonight's Champions League matches. I can't promise you any pictures of Rod Stewart though [1903].

Arsenal Fan on 81111 on text: It is simply unbelievable the impact signing Ozil has had on our team. The confidence and belief we've been lacking is back. We've got to be considered outside chance of champions this year.

Chris in Bolton on 81111 on text: Lots of talk about Ozil, Giroud and Ramsey but let's not forget how well Flamini is playing. He's made Arsenal's defence a lot more solid.

Aaron from Chelmsford on 81111 on text: Wenger seems to look younger with every good performance we put in!

  94. 2021:
    MISSED PENALTY- Leeds 0-0 Bournemouth

BBC Sport's Mark Mitchener: "Drama here - Bournemouth goalkeeper Ryan Allsop brings down Leeds striker Noel Hunt and the referee has no hesitation in pointing to the penalty spot and showing a straight red card. Bournemouth's management team have to sacrifice tricky Scottish winger Ryan Fraser to bring on substitute keeper Darryl Flahavan - and he saves Ross McCormack's penalty by diving well to his left. A let-off for Bournemouth - but they've lost one of their main attacking threats in Fraser."

  95. 2020:
BBC Sport's at Alasdair Lamont at Celtic ParkCeltic 0-0 Barcelona

"Celtic are defending stoutly to protect their goalkeeper, but this feels like a better Barcelona performance than the one last November. Andres Iniesta is keeping everything moving and looks like he'll be the one who could really hurt Celtic."

Craig Levein, Former Scotland manager at Celtic Park for 5 live SportCeltic 0-0 Barcelona

"The game has settled and Celtic will be happy at this minute in time. Barcelona can be so dangerous though - if a central defender switches off for a moment they can strike."

Listen to Celtic v Barcelona on BBC Radio 5 live, though commentary is not available online.

  97. 2018:
    Steaua Bucharest 0-1 Chelsea

Samuel Eto'o is desperate for that first Chelsea goal - and it shows as he tries to shoot from 30 yards out but his shot is blocked. A waste of possession once again.

Ben Rabinovich: The wizard of Oz!

Will Davies: Last year people were shouting for Wenger to be sacked - now they look a different side. Ozil is a Wenger-saver!

Richie Selase Gollo: At this rate, Aaron Ramsey's goal isn't too far off...

  99. 2016:
    Arsenal 2-0 Napoli

It's all gone a bit quiet in north London since that frenetic opening as Napoli try and raise themselves from the canvas. Arsenal are content to ping the ball about, knowing they are getting plenty of joy down the flanks whenever they do try and lift the ball into the spaces behind the full-backs.

BBC Sport's at Alasdair Lamont at Celtic ParkCeltic 0-0 Barcelona

"Celtic are struggling to keep any meaningful possession just at the moment. It was always going to be difficult to get the ball from Barcelona, but right now it's nigh-on impossible."

  101. 2013:
    Steaua Bucharest 0-1 Chelsea

Chelsea are all over Steaua at the moment, but Andre Schurrle wastes a good opening when he blazes over form 25 yards out. That one was in danger of hitting the canopy roof above the stadium.

  102. 2011:
    Celtic 0-0 Barcelona

Over in Glasgow, Neymar has been told to behave himself after going to ground too easily. The atmosphere at Celtic Park is absolutely rocking.

  103. 2010:

Elsewhere in the Championship, Nottingham Forest lead 1-0 thanks to a strike from Andy Reid against his former club Charlton, whilst David Murphy has put Birmingham - who earlier missed a penalty - 1-0 up against Millwall.

  104. 2010:
    CLOSE!- Arsenal 2-0 Napoli

Napoli get a sight of goal as Miguel Britos climbs high with a prodigious leap at the far post, but he directs a strong header just wide of the top corner of Wojciech Szczesny's goal. Twelve yards out, it would have needed to be right in the postage stamp to beat the Pole and it was not far away.

  105. 2009:

Bayern Munich-bound Robert Lewandowski has fired Borussia Dortmund into the lead against Marseille as they look to bounce from their defeat against Napoli and keep in touch with Arsenal.

  106. 2008:

BBC Sport's Ged Scott at St Andrew's: "After scoring four on his Birmingham City debut just 10 days ago, Jesse Lingard returned to St Andrew's for the first time since and promptly missed a 10th-minute penalty.

"After being brought down right on the edge of the box by Millwall's Alan Dunne, Lingard took the strongly disputed penalty himself and fired placed a weak kick low to David Forde's left, allowing the visiting keeper to make a comfortable save."

  107. 2007:

It's all happening at Pride Park, where Steve McClaren's new team Derby are already 3-1 down against Ipswich, who were previously without a win on the road this season. New Rams signing Zak Whitbread has scored at both ends, whilst Ipswich left-back Aaron Cresswell has been involved in all three goals.

  108. 2005:
Phil McNulty, BBC Sport Chief Football Writer at Emirates StadiumANALYSIS- Arsenal 2-0 Napoli

"Mesut Ozil's status as Arsenal's main creative force is emphasised even more by the fact that Jack Wilshere is on the bench and the German is controlling affairs from the centre. And how he has justified the responsibility with the deadly grace of his performance in the opening phase here.

"Ozil made a difficult finish look deceptively easy for Arsenal's first then a flick of his left foot set up Olivier Giroud for the second. Arsene Wenger looked in raptures on the bench - it was football played just as he likes it."

  109. 2004:
GOAL- Steaua Bucharest 0-1 Chelsea - Ramires (19 mins)

It's going pretty well for Chelsea too, as they take the lead in Romania. Andre Schurrle glides down the left unchallenged and picks out Samuel Eto'o who pokes the ball through for Ramires to place past the keeper. The Chelsea bench rises as one - apart from The Special One. He's more understated.

Pasa Mustafa: Napoli who? Arsenal too good right now - keep it up lads!

Miracle Roch: That's why we bought Ozil. For nights like this.

Richard Powell: Ozil - outstanding technique and supreme confidence. A joy to watch.

Graeme Le Saux, Former England defender at Emirates Stadium for 5 live SportArsenal 2-0 Napoli

"What an awful throw-in from Napoli there. The clearance went straight to Arsenal. Ozil drove at the touchline and clipped it back in for Giroud. Arsenal have had 70% of the possession in the first 15 minutes - they have started perfectly."

  112. 1959:
GOAL- Arsenal 2-0 Napoli - Olivier Giroud (15 mins)

Aaron Ramsey will have to wait [1959], because it's Olivier Giroud's turn to get on the scoresheet for the sixth time this season. Napoli give the ball away under pressure in their own half and Mesut Ozil races to the byline and picks out Giroud in the six-yard box for a trademark finish from the Frenchman. The Emirates is a happy place to be at the moment...

  113. 1959:
    Arsenal 1-0 Napoli

The confidence is coursing through Arsenal now - Napoli are struggling to get the ball off Mesut Ozil and Co. And Aaron Ramsey hasn't got his obligatory goal yet...

Craig Levein, Former Scotland manager at Celtic Park for 5 live SportCeltic 0-0 Barcelona

"After three minutes I was quite fearful for Celtic, but they have gradually eased themselves into this game and look a lot more comfortable now."

Listen to Celtic v Barcelona on BBC Radio 5 live, though commentary is not available online.

  115. 1956:
    SUBSTITUTION- Steaua Bucharest 0-0 Chelsea

Oh dear, that doesn't look good for Fernando Torres. The Chelsea striker is substituted after just 11 minutes with a knee problem, being replaced by Samuel Eto'o. Where's Romelu when you need him...

  116. 1956:
BBC Sport's at Alasdair Lamont at Celtic ParkCeltic 0-0 Barcelona

"Celtic are already creating openings and showing they have no intentions of spending the entire evening on the defensive. For all of Barca's possession, Fraser Forster remains untroubled in the Celtic goal."

Graeme Le Saux, Former England defender at Emirates Stadium for 5 live SportArsenal 1-0 Napoli

"A wonderful start by Arsenal, very purposeful. The ball went to Giroud, a great run by Ramsey, a lovely cross and a great controlled, composed finish from Ozil. he struck it with great composure - he is a man with such talent."

  118. 1953:
GOAL- Arsenal 1-0 Napoli - Mesut Ozil (8 mins)
    Mesut Ozil celebrates Arsenal's first

The Arsenal juggernaut is up and running again - and it's that man Mesut Ozil who has put them in front. Aaron Ramsey gets in behind the Napoli defence and shows great awareness to pull the ball back to the edge of the area where Ozil meets it first time with a superb sidefoot into the back of the net. Majestic.

  119. 1952:
    Arsenal 0-0 Napoli

Napoli, playing in camouflage-print dark blue shirts, are coming under some early pressure but they are holding firm so far. Goalkeeper Pepe Reina, on loan from Liverpool, is looking assured too - coming off his line to collect a corner with real confidence.

  120. 1951:
BBC Sport's at Alasdair Lamont at Celtic ParkCeltic 0-0 Barcelona

"Unbelievable display of possession football at the outset here by Barcelona. One minute and 46 seconds on the clock before a Celtic player even got the faintest of touches on the ball."

  121. 1950:
    Celtic 0-0 Barcelona

As you might expect, Barcelona are dominating possession so far and pushing Celtic back. They might be the home side, but Neil Lennon's boys appear happy to play on the counter tonight. And why not - it's worked before...

  122. 1949:
    Steaua Bucharest 0-0 Chelsea

In fact, Chelsea are passing it about very nicely indeed - taking their first shot of the game through Andre Schurrle which is deflected away by a Steaua defender.

  123. 1947:
    Steaua Bucharest 0-0 Chelsea

The roof, or should I say canopy, is on at the National Arena and that's because of all the rain in Bucharest in the last few days. The pitch looks in good nick though as Chelsea try and pass it about early on - to jeers from the crowd.

  124. 1945:

The whistle goes in Bucharest, London and Glasgow. We are up, up and away...

  125. 1944:

The teams are out around Europe - and there's plenty of talk from my colleagues about Marek Hamsik's Mohican haircut. It's an impressive effort. Check it out...

    Marek Hamsik
  126. 1944:
Steaua Bucharest v Chelsea (1945 BST)

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho: "It's [the match] important - I told the players. We did garbage [against Basel in the first match] - we have to clean what we did. The way to clean is to win point after point. The objective is to try to win. We know the Champions League is difficult."

Craig Levein, Former Scotland manager at Celtic Park for 5 live SportCeltic v Barcelona (1945 BST)

"Barcelona will bombard the Celtic defence and they will have to stay strong. Fraser Forster could be enormously important tonight. And if Celtic get chances they must take them. Samaras is their biggest threat and maybe he'll play up the middle tonight. He's a handful and on his day he ahs huge attributes - he's big and strong. Celtic tonight cannot afford to have one or two players under par."

Listen to Celtic v Barcelona on BBC Radio 5 live, though commentary is not available online.

  128. 1941:

Ozil on the back of all those shirts [see below]? I bet he's a parent's dream - nobody wants to be shelling out per letter for Oxlade-Chamberlain...

  129. 1939:
Chief football writer Phil McNulty at the EmiratesArsenal v Napoli (1945 BST)

"Napoli's fans tucked away in a corner of The Emirates are already making plenty of noise and these are two sets of supporters in optimistic mood as both have made fine starts to the new season.

"Rafael Benitez was taking a close interest in the warm-ups, although he broke off to talk at length to fellow countryman Santi Cazorla who is out of the Arsenal side through injury.

"There is no mistaking the buoyant mood among Arsenal supporters and one glance at the shirts being worn around the stadium demonstrate one of the main reasons why - countless emblazoned with the name of Mesut Ozil."

  130. 1937:
Steaua Bucharest v Chelsea (1945 BST)

If appears Chelsea will be playing under a closed roof in Romania tonight. I'm not sure if that's the reason for Jose Mourinho looking a bit grumpy as he made his way from the team coach to the dressing room area earlier.

And while the Chelsea boss looks a tad nervous, Napoli's Rafael Benitez is pretty chirpy out on the Emirates pitch. I've seen the Spaniard chatting to a snapper and looking at some pictures. "Mrs B would like a copy of that one," I reckon he was saying.

Rod: I'm here at Celtic Park to see a performance from the XI on the park. That's all we can ask tonight.

Jacques O'Neill: Chances of Ramsey and Giroud on the scoresheet with Ozil providing the assists? Very high.

Tunde Akere: Chelsea cannot afford to lose tonight. The boys must respond positively - we need this three points desperately.

  132. 1933:
    Celtic v Barcelona (1945 BST)

Instead of Lionel Messi, Celtic will have to worry about Brazilian superstar Neymar tonight. But is the boy from Brazil in the same league as the amazing Argentine? Let's ask Neil Lennon...

"It's like comparing a dog with a cat," said Lennon. "They are two different types. Neymar's wonderfully gifted, but the only player who can be compared to Messi is Cristiano Ronaldo."

I hadn't thought of it like that...

  133. 1930:
    Celtic v Barcelona (1945 BST)

To be the best you've got to beat the best, and it's with that in mind when Neil Lennon says he's sad his side don't have to contend with Lionel Messi tonight.

Not many managers have been sad to see the little magician safely sat in the stands in recent years, but Lennon is disappointed he won't be in opposition to his side tonight.

"It's obviously very good news for us because for me he's the best player in the world," said Lennon. "But it's also tinged with sadness as it's always good to see the best players here in Glasgow."

BBC Sport's at Alasdair Lamont at Celtic ParkCeltic v Barcelona (1945 BST)

"As is customary on such occasions, the atmosphere here is slowly ramping up and let me assure you, by kick-off it'll be at fever pitch. Cesc Fabregas acknowledged as much at the pre-match news conference yesterday and while you often hear platitudes from opposing players, there was a ring of sincerity about the midfielder's words."

    Barca fans
Graeme Le Saux, Former England defender at Emirates Stadium for 5 live SportSteaua Bucharest v Chelsea (1945 BST)

"I get the sense with Chelsea that the striker is disconnected from the rest of the team. Chelsea have to get that right, because you can't carry a player. They need to get people like Fernando Torres into positions where he's attacking the goal. And I don't see that - I see them moving around and not being in goalscoring positions."

  136. 1923:
    Arsenal v Napoli (1945 BST)

Win tonight and Arsenal will be sitting pretty on six points in Group F. They might only then need four more points to emerge from a very difficult group which also contains Borussia Dortmund and Marseille. Would that make Arsenal genuine contenders? Arsene Wenger certainly thinks so.

"If we get out of the group I would say we have a chance [to win the trophy] - but what we have to show is that we have the strength," said Wenger. "It [the trophy] is something I miss that I will try to fight very hard to fill my CV with."

  137. 1920:
    Arsenal v Napoli (1945 BST)

The Gunners will certainly be hoping for a fast start against Napoli, who are unbeaten in Serie A so far this season. The Italians have got plenty of talent in the ranks, which Wenger is more than aware of.

"We have to be organised against Napoli because they are very good on the counter-attack," said Wenger. "The four players that contribute the most up front are Higuain, Jose Callejon, Lorenzo Insigne and Marek Hamsik, who is a vital player and gives the most assists in their team."

I've always been a fan of Marek Hamsik ever since I managed him on a certain computer game. A class act in real life too!

  138. 1917:
Steaua Bucharest v Chelsea (1945 BST)

Fernando Torres is in the Chelsea team tonight, and he received a boost today with the news that he will not face retrospective action for scratching Jan Vertonghen's face during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Tottenham.

The Football Association reviewed the incident after the Spaniard was captured on TV scratching the defender, but a match official had already seen the players collide which means, under FA rules, no action can be taken.

The 29-year-old will serve a one-match ban after being sent off in the 82nd minute for two bookable offences.

Michael Fraser: Getting very nervous now. But could be another memorable night in Glasgow...

Andrew Valette: Celtic Park is hard to beat, but what about Dortmund's Signal Iduna Park? 80,000+ screaming Germans dressed in bright yellow?

Oli Parkes: I'm surprised people can remember Anfield's atmosphere on European nights...!

  140. 1913:
TEAM NEWS- Steaua Bucharest v Chelsea (1945 BST)
    Juan Mata

Chelsea's Juan Mata, who came on as a substitute in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Tottenham, starts in midfield alongside Oscar, Andre Schurrle, Ramires and Frank Lampard. Fernando Torres leads the line for the Blues. Steaua midfielder Cristian Tanase passed a late fitness test and takes his place in the starting XI.

  141. 1912:

Borussia Dortmund were beaten 3-2 the last time they welcomed Marseille to Germany two years ago and a repeat tonight, with manager Jurgen Klopp serving a touchline ban in the stands, will put last year's runners-up in a spot of bother in Group F after defeat away to Napoli in their opener.

Atletico Madrid, under the stewardship of former Argentina international Diego Simeone, have started the season at a canter with seven straight wins in La Liga, including Saturday's victory in the Madrid derby. They take on in-form Porto in Group G.

Ajax and AC Milan, with 11 European Cups between them, meet in Group H while Basel, Chelsea's conquerors in the opening round of matches, meet Schalke in Group E.

  142. 1909:
TEAM NEWS- Arsenal v Napoli (1945 BST)

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger brings in Mikel Arteta for only his second start of the season with Serge Gnabry and Jack Wilshere dropping to the bench after starting the 2-1 win over Swansea on Saturday. Tomas Rosicky is the other man called into the starting line-up.

Napoli manager Rafael Benitez is without one-time Arsenal striking target Gonzalo Higuain who has failed to recover from a thigh injury picked up in the win over Genoa at the weekend. There is just one change from the side that started that game with Slovakia playmaker Marek Hamsik recalled in place of Colombian Duvan Zapata. Hamsik, like Arteta, captains his side on his return.

Hammam Ayoub: The best atmosphere in Europe has to be in the Bernabeu stadium. Doesn't get any better!

Aron Baker: Best European atmosphere? For me it was Houllier's return from heart surgery v Roma at Anfield. A very special night.

Joshua Proffitt: You cannot and will not ever beat a European night at Anfield.

  144. 1908:
Steaua Bucharest v Chelsea (1945 BST)

BBC Sport's Saj Chowdhury: "There are some who say, 'never return'. Howard Kendall at Everton, Kevin Keegan at Newcastle and Kenny Dalglish at Liverpool all failed to repeat the achievements of their first spells in charge. Will Jose Mourinho join that list? His side have only picked up three wins from their opening six Premier League games and were beaten at home by Basel in their first Champions League group match. It's left a sour taste in the mouths of Chelsea fans - a defeat in Bucharest will be unpalatable."

  145. 1907:
    Celtic v Barcelona (1945 BST)

BBC Sport's Alasdair Lamont at Celtic Park: "Less than a year on from that famous Celtic victory, the Scottish champions welcome the superstars of Barcelona to the east end of Glasgow once again. Neil Lennon reckons Celtic are stronger now than they were then, but tonight we'll see if the departed trio of Gary Hooper, Victor Wanyama and Kelvin Wilson really have been replaced by better quality players. Of course, Celtic won't have to contend with the world's greatest player - Lionel Messi, who's injured. But as you may have noticed, Barca have a few more decent players to call upon."

  146. 1906:
Chief football writer Phil McNulty at the EmiratesArsenal v Napoli (1945 BST)

"Old Premier League adversaries Arsene Wenger and Rafael Benitez meet again as Napoli visit Arsenal in the Champions League group stages.

"Benitez, who won the Europa League at Chelsea last season, has made a fine start in Serie A and Napoli have already beaten last season's Champions League losing finalists Borussia Dortmund in their opening game.

"Wenger writes in his programme notes: "That combination of experience and success makes a manager more confident and convinced of his opinions, and the career he (Rafael Benitez) is having at the highest level comes as no surprise to me.""

  147. 1903:
    Celtic v Barcelona (1945 BST)

Together with BBC Radio 5 live commentary, there is also a dedicated live text for this match at Celtic Park courtesy of our colleagues at BBC Scotland. It's worth a look - they've even got a Rod Stewart update at 1901. Apparently the singer will be in the stands cheering on Neil Lennon's side tonight. Go on Rod, treat us to a sing-song at half-time...

Patrick on 81111 on text: Rab is right (1819) - nothing beats Paradise on a Euro night, although Anfield does come close.

Jonny on 81111 on text: Sorry, there is nowhere that comes even close to matching the atmosphere in a packed St James' Park with 50,000 Geordies!

Dan on 81111 on text: The best atmosphere's are always at Eastern European grounds - they go absolutely nuts for football.

John Hartson, BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast

"Tonight will be very special at Celtic Park. Often you hear about the crowd being the 12th man, and I've experienced it myself up in Glasgow. Some of the teams Celtic have beaten over the years, they had no right to beat them. The likes of Barcelona, Juventus, Porto...

"The crowd really do get behind the players, and that spurs them on. The atmosphere is absolutely electric, and hopefully it will be the same tonight. They played really well two weeks ago in the San Siro against AC Milan, so tonight is a very important game."

Listen to Celtic v Barcelona on BBC Radio 5 live tonight, though commentary is not available online.

  150. 1900:
    Arsenal v Napoli (1945 BST)

And it seems the respect is mutual between Arsene and Rafa, with Benitez labelling Wenger "the best coach in the Premier League."

"At this point everything is going well for them," Benitez said in the build-up to the match. "I think he's a great manager, great person, someone that knows the league here in England, experience in Europe and always in the top four.

"He's doing a great job. Hopefully he can win the Champions League - but another year, not this one."

Arsene and Rafa - the best of friends.

  151. 1858:
Steaua Bucharest v Chelsea (1945 BST)

On the subject of Chelsea managers [1850], Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger reckons Rafael Benitez was given a rough ride by the Blues last season. The Spaniard took interim charge at Chelsea last November, leading them to the Europa League title, but he failed to win over a section of the club's fans.

"People were tough with him because they didn't expect him to go to Chelsea but he did very well," said Wenger. "He dealt well with it. In the end, with time going on, people will realise that he did well."

What do you think Chelsea fans? Where does Rafa rank?

  152. 1854:
    LINE-UPS- Arsenal v Napoli (1945 BST)

Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Rosicky, Arteta, Ozil, Ramsey, Flamini, Giroud. Subs: Fabianski, Vermaelen, Monreal, Jenkinson, Wilshere, Bendtner, Gnabry

Napoli: Reina, Britos, Albiol, Callejon, Mesto, Hamsik, Zuniga, Behrami, Inler, Pandev, Insigne. Subs: Cabral, Fernandez, Armero, Cannavaro, Dzemaili, Mertens, Zapata

Jerry Bowman: Celtic are without Hooper and Wanayama now. Can't see them getting anything tonight. 0-4 to Barca.

Belete Eshetea: Last season, if Ramsey was in the starting XI Gooners fans would have been all 'Oh no!' Now? 'Oh yes!' How life can change so quickly...

Shreyank Gowda: I feel the signing of Flamini has liberated Aaron Ramsey to get forward more. Credit for Wenger where it's due.

  154. 1850:
Steaua Bucharest v Chelsea (1945 BST)

So what's been happening in the world of the Special/Only/Returning One this week? Well, he had an extra half hour to ring home and see how his beloved Yorkshire Terrier is on Monday after cutting short his news conference due to constant questions about Kevin de Bruyne.

Mourinho said Juan Mata will start tonight's tie with Steaua Bucharest but De Bruyne had been left at home after failing to impress.

"You are for three weeks speaking about Mata, and now it's De Bruyne," he said. "You have this tendency to only ask about the guys that are not selected."

Somehow I suspect De Bruyne hasn't been left in charge of house-sitting Jose's Yorkie while he's in Romania...

There's a talking point for you. Rab Douglas, below, believes Celtic Park has quite possibly the best atmosphere in Europe. Is he right? If not, where's better?

BBC Radio 5 liveCeltic v Barcelona (1945 BST)

Former Celtic goalkeeper Rab Douglas on 5 live Drive: "Celtic Park has an incredible atmosphere - probably the best in Europe, I would say. It's a great place to play and if anybody's not been they should go along to a European night at Celtic.

"I fancy Celtic tonight, actually. They've beaten Barcelona, AC Milan and Ajax at Celtic Park in recent times, every team in their group. Tonight I'm going for the dark horse, a Celtic win."

Listen to Celtic v Barcelona on BBC Radio 5 live tonight, though commentary is not available online.

Of course, it wouldn't be a proper Champions League night without plenty of input from you good people. Whether you want to throw in alternative candidates for Europe's most in-form player or talk about Jose Mourinho's latest antics, all you have to do is send a Tweet (#bbcfootball), text (81111) or direct a carrier pigeon to Salford before 10pm. I'd stick with the first two if I was you. Alternatively, why not check out our Facebook page and make your predictions for tonight's matches?

But before we go any further, let's have some breaking team news from the Champions League...

  161. 1837:
    Reuben Noble-Lazarus

But fear not, you hardy supporters of Championship clubs. We're not just about Messi and Ramsey here at BBC Sport. We're just as keen to give a mention to Barnsley's Reuben Noble-Lazarus or Doncaster's Bongani Khumalo. There's a near-full programme in English football's second tier tonight and we'll be bringing you regular score updates throughout the evening. Here's the fixture list in full:

Barnsley v Reading, Birmingham v Millwall, Blackburn v Watford, Brighton v Sheff Wed, Charlton v Nottm Forest, Derby v Ipswich, Doncaster v Burnley, Leeds v Bournemouth, Middlesbrough v Huddersfield, Yeovil v Leicester, Blackpool v Bolton.

  162. 1835:
    Aaron Ramsey

We do have one small negative tonight, with Lionel Messi not fit enough to grace the Celtic Park turf because of a thigh injury. So while the world's best player sits this one out, we'll have to make do with the most in-form player in Europe instead - the man of the moment, Mr Aaron Ramsey.

The Welsh wizard can do no wrong at the moment. Judging by the picture above, even his own team-mates are struggling to keep pace with him on the training ground.

  163. 1830:

The dark nights, the glaring floodlights, the best players in the world, the pumped up atmospheres and THAT tune. It can only mean one thing - the Champions League show returns after a two week break.

Whether you are a Celtic supporter dreaming of another famous victory over Barcelona, an Arsenal fan hoping Olivier Giroud can put summer transfer target Gonzalo Higuain in his place, or a Chelsea follower desperate to see the Blues recover from that shock defeat by Basel against Steaua Bucharest, you are in the right place.

So let's dive head-first, Gaspar Iniguez-style, into another fantastic evening of elite European football.
