Chesterfield boss Paul Cook has signed a new contract extension to keep him at the club until 2016.
The 46-year-old took over at the Proact Stadium last October
and led the club to eighth place last season.
The Spireites have made a great start to the campaign and sit top of League Two with seven wins and one draw from their first eight league games.
"From the chairman down, everyone here has been really supportive,"
Cook told the club website.
"They gave me an opportunity to manage such a great club and the least I can do is repay their faith in me by signing a new deal.
"The fans here have been very supportive. Chesterfield has a strong fan-base, both home and away, and long may that continue."
