Burton ended a run of three consecutive defeats, coming from behind to earn a 2-2 draw against Scunthorpe.
Striker Billy Kee, returning from a six-week injury absence, converted Alex MacDonald's driven cross to put the Brewers in front before the break.
But Deon Burton and Niall Canavan netted with headers early in the second half to give Scunthorpe a 2-1 lead.
The Iron could not hold on though, as Robbie Weir headed in Chris Hussey's free-kick to equalise for the hosts.
VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Burton Albion manager Gary Rowett told BBC Radio Derby
"I think we should have won the game. We had the opportunities to do so.
"We caused our own problems really.
"We went 1-0 up and in control and then end up 2-1 down within the first ten minutes of the second half. It's frustrating to say the least."
Scunthorpe United manager Brian Laws told BBC Radio Humberside
"It was a real test for us. We stepped into unknown territory - we went a goal down - which was an interesting one because it was always going to test us at some stage.
"I thought we started the game brightly. We passed it well, and showed that if we pass it well we could probably hurt them.
"We didn't hold the ball as well as we should have, and I thought we gave the ball away cheaply and unnecessarily."
