Dean Smith: Walsall manager proud of Saddlers' mean defence

Walsall manager Dean Smith tells BBC WM that "familiarity" has been key to his side's mean defence so far these season.

Having just picked up two victories from successive clean sheets away from home in the space of four days, Walsall have conceded only six goals in seven league games - a record bettered in League One only by leaders Leyton Orient.

"It comes down to the familiarity of the same players playing and getting to know each other over a long period of time," said Smith.
