Cliftonville beat Linfield in controversial Windsor clash

Joe Gormley and Diarmuid O'Carroll both notched doubles as champions Cliftonville beat Linfield 4-2 in a controversial Premiership clash at Windsor Park.

Two Gormley goals in three minutes put the Reds 2-0 ahead but after James Knowles replied for the Blues, the home team appeared to be denied a clear penalty when Aaron Burns tumbled in the box.

Burns did level the contest in the second half but two O'Carroll goals ensured Cliftonville's second win of the new season.
