Liverpool 1-0 Stoke: Reds will be a threat all season - Bowen

Stoke assistant manager Mark Bowen says Liverpool will be a threat throughout the 2013-14 Premier League season, after Simon Mignolet saved a late penalty to ensure his team won all three points at Anfield.

The Belgian goalkeeper stopped a second-half penalty from Jon Walters, as well as a follow-up from Kenwyne Jones, which would have cancelled out Daniel Sturridge's 37th-minute strike.

Bowen says Stoke manager Mark Hughes left as soon as the final whistle was blown to conduct urgent transfer business.
