Montrose 1-2 Stirling Albion

Stirling Albion left Links Park with all three points as Montrose were beaten at home on day one of the Scottish League Two season.

Dale Fulton thumped Albion ahead with a powerful drive from the edge of the area.

Montrose's Richard McIntosh was sent off for serious foul play but the hosts levelled through Graham Webster's close-range effort.

But Mark Ferry restored Stirling's lead with a header from Chris Smith's cross.
