Queen of the South 4-3 Dundee

Promoted Queen of the South held off a late comeback from Dundee to claim an opening-day Scottish Championship win.

Dundee, who were relegated from the top flight, opened the scoring with a Peter MacDonald strike but Derek Lyle headed the hosts level.

Ryan McGuffie, Iain Russell and Michael Paton all found the net in an 11-minute period to put Queens in command.
