Conference Premier side Alfreton Town have completed the signing of former Wrexham defender Chris Westwood.
The 36-year-old made 37 appearances for the Welsh side last season but
was released in May.
Westwood began his career at Wolves and has had spells at Hartlepool, Walsall, Peterborough and Wycombe.
"He is a player with vast experience. You are always sceptical when you sign players of Chris's age but he is super fit," Reds manager Nicky Law said.
"He has had a great league career and done extremely well at Wrexham in the last two seasons.
"He can come and lend some of that experience and organisational skills to some of the younger players we have.
"We are delighted to have persuaded him to come to us in the face of strong opposition.
"All in all it is a great signing for us and we are really pleased. It is a great coup to be able to get a player of that calibre to come to the club."
